I seem to have been quite lucky here. I've had to repair one or two bits of fencing but the fixed dishes all appear to be where they were. The motorised 1.2M may have moved slightly round the motor stub but until the wind dies away, I'm not keen on climbing a ladder to find out. Still very windy ATM though I suspect being over 200km from the Brittany coast may have helped.

Only damage here is one dead tree down, one fence panel blown out, and two tarpaulins in pieces.

Viasat was spot on this morning - 71% on TV1000 Action so I think the Channel Master held up OK. I dread to think what would happen if it was on a DiSEqC motor!

Today we've had blue skies, sun, rain, hail that settled, snow, lightning, thunder and gale force wind... Apparently a lightning hit two trees not far from our office. Should have stayed home, but it was sunny when I left.

It appears this is merely the start.

I blame Sir David Attenborough.

Its a tad breezy up here - its blowing a bloody hooley, pissing down with rain, and trying to snow.

Theres a tree in the shelter belt behind us hung up and trying to fall across the farm track. Fortunately its not big enough to do much damage - it'll take a fence out and block the track if it comes down, and maybe take the electricity cable with it so if I suddenly disappear tonight you know whats happened!

Wind is the main issue here at the moment, my dish is very well sheltered (after it fell face first last year) but my brother's TD110 mounted on his shed has suffered from the gales, second time this year I've had to realign it.

Little bit of snow this morning but it disappeared as quickly as it came.

Well some guys in a big jeep with a cherry picker and multiple spotlights took the dangerous tree down with minimal fuss. Most impressive seeing how had it was blowing at the time.
