The static feeds into the news programmes will probably be on 12.5W, blindscan the bottom end of it around 1800 and you'll probably find at least one BBC feed. The ongoing feed of the relay onto their website is all being done via 3G, take a look here _http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-18143724

Ah, in which case try 24.5W, they were using this quite a bit but I've not spotted anything on for the last couple of weeks.

They aint using satellite feeds for the direct transmissions from the relay- 8 mobile sim cards bonded together & relayed via 3G

All explained here:

Chances are some of the special events will be satellite relay though.

It means that they combine the upload bandwidth of 8 3G mobile phones to obtain the picture quality, used to do it with ISDN digital lines prior to ADSL.

I have to wonder how well this is going to work when they get to the Scottish Borders - there are areas around here that still dont get any mobile signal at all let along 3G!

Looking at the beeb link they may use a UAV as a link in remote areas :)

Yup, although I do know round here they are cheating in that the torch relay is only between the town limits - so here in Galashiels its from one end of the town to the other!

Sounds about right, most of the time the flame takes a ride in the bus

Go to channel 301 on freeview.I was sitting in the car the other day after watching the flame go by my area and swithed on the tv in my X5 and suddenly it was there on the road just passed me.It is on the front of one of the Met motorbikes. It showed the bike entering the main road up to the motorway and onto the M77.Shows a raw feed.It ended in Glasgow city centre where a concert was taking place. Then a reporter was caught brushing her hair before going live on BBC1.At this moment it's heading to the Highlands and the screen is showing the caption"We are unable to bring you pictures at the moment"Regards.
