If you are with Orange for fibre or TV and also have a Humax freesat box beware.... We had a huge bill for film hire from orange only to discover that we were unknowingly selecting items when using the Humax to view UK tv.. Of course we could not see what was happening on the Orange box as the HDMI on the tv was tuned to the Humax box at the time - nevertheless it responded to a random selection of keys from the Humax remote and some of those were purchasing films we did not want or even know about. For now using a different make Freesat box where the remote does not interact with the Orange box and have also set up a stronger pin control for any purchase with Orange so it should not happen again. A very expensive lesson!!!

You mean you had to pay for the films you didn't know you were ordering? They didn't waive the fees?

Yup - they refused to accept we did not watch them and said there was nothing they could do! Not very customer orientated but maybe some was our fault as there was no pin set for purchases - but we believed the pin was only for parental control not purchases as well.

Not much point - as at is the Humax that caused the issues and no-one here has Humax as there are no UK people anywhere close.

Depending on your negotiation skills, you may find a techical publication willl pay for the story,

Failing that , one of the rags such as Hello or OK if you can spin a yarn about your plight and include disability or being destitute as a result.
