Will this Chapparral polaraiser do ?
Can be controlled by such servo testers .
Hmmm.
Flange for feedhorn is C120? Asking price? For controlling I have an old analogue receiver Grundig STR 12.
I am newbie, want just experiment with polarisers (antenna Prodelin 180 cm). I have to study something about Chaparral polariser.
Thanks.

I like how you did It
Would you please post another shot - profile to see length

from experience I have better results when tube - the whole length of feedhorn and lnb Is short as possible

I have been running a converted Inverto Black Ultra for three years now without any problems.
The interface consists of two parts made in a lathe and held together with a tight shrink-fit.
(a tube for the circular waveguide and a plate for the flange, a thin line shows where they meet)
Normally you would have to remove a lot of metal in the lathe if the part is both long and with
a large diameter somewhere but this is made with a shrink fit between a tube going into the
old feedhorn and a plate to make up the C120 flange. You can also optimise each part before assembly.
There is metal to metal contact in the bottom of the new circular waveguide. It can be improved further
by conducting paint (with lots of silver in it) but this one works without it. The tiny locking screws
press the interface down onto the other side. The polarisation angle is adjustable so it can be made to be
the same as other LNB's, easier to swap LNB's for tests if they are close to the sweet spot at the start.

Unfortunately this LNB is mounted on my dish right now and I can't find any photos. (although
there might be old photos somewhere that were made five years ago)
No machining was made on the metal structure of original LNB. The plastic endcap was removed
and the front of the new flange ends up in the same position as the cap and adds around 5 mm
to the length of the original waveguide (including old feedhorn). So I guess the new flange is
is almost exactly where the endcap was. This was meant to be a prototype that turned into
the final version since it worked from the start (and I'm a bit lazy).

Quad lnb to DSCR for sky Q

Sky Q questions for Spain
1. Does anyone know if there is a wideband LNB with C120 flange? Cannot find any on market.

2. If we can't have a wideband LNB...
I am using DSCR for sky Q with quad LNB here in the UK. Which would be be the best system in terms of introducing the lowest possible noise?

Triax TMDS 42S
Unitron DCSS 422 (the one I have)
Vision any model

3.Is there another solution here? I saw there is a wideband to Quattro converter but cannot find a Quattro to wideband converter. Maybe that would have been ideal.

Hmm, if I understand well, You are looking for LNB for Ku band with C120 flange.
There are some on ebay (Spain), or in France:

Thank you for your reply.

No, not looking for a universal LNB. Looking for a wideband LNB such as
with C120 flange.

A wideband LNB has 2 outputs. Horizontal and Vertical polarisation of the full Ku spectrum. There is no low / high band.

I can convert it into C120 flange model for you

Can "Trust" convert an octo lnb to a c120 - that for me would be a great advantage and remove the need for a multi-switch. I currently have an Invacom quad but ideally would like more feeds but as quads seem almost impossible to buy I am looking for good alternatives..

This orange thing looks like mechanical polariser Hirschmann CSP 1210 C. Its for one polarity LNB. You need some positioner to control it. Old analogue receivers with positioner can control it, or some modern - like Titanium Satellite ASC1 Positioner. It is for skew adjustment for one polarity LNB. Some info about it: Mechanical polarizer Hirschmann CSP 1210 C & Magnetic polarizer IRTE and their advantages and disadvantages in practice . | CZECH AND SLOVAK DX SATELLITE CLUB
I think its not good idea to adapt it...

I don't know, if I understand You well. Is Your dish prime focus? If yes, then You need an universal LNB (H/V polarisation, lower and higher Ku band) with flange.

If You need LNB with 4 cable output then it can be Quad LNB or Qattro LNB (needs multiswitch).

Is this Your dish?

Just today I modded for a Belgian satguy a Telestar Quad lnb for direct to Fibo horn , no flange needed .
He ordered in Germany and let it send to me .
Modding with flange also possible .
@ joddle , even a octo can be done .

Exactly i have what you can see in the picture. I test severals lnbs invacom is so old. The original televes works fine even better then i would like to use it. but only works H or V without the positioner.

If i cant use the televes i will try to fit a maclean mctv670 which recently i tested or the inverto black ultra also with the guide waves adapted.
But i though that maybe doing something with the cables output doing bridges or i dont know...

If an original LNB is the best, You can use servo tester for changing V/H polarity instead of an old analogue receiver/positioner. Personally I cant test it. Maybe some seasoned guys would confirm it.

I see now that there seem to a few dealers selling the Invacom quad C120s again - Some seem to be white and others dark grey but is there any difference in these? I will get one just for futureproofing.
