Good morning to everybody

I live in the center of Spain (outside the main beam of this satellite) and I have a 1.5 m antenna. I use an Inverto black ultra LNB.
I would like to know your opinion, because I have read in a forum that this LNB does not work so well on this satellite due to "cross polarization".
Thanks.

Sorry for the google translator.:)

Is the 1.5M antenna prime focus or offset? A photo will help if you aren't sure.

In Spain I would use something like this to shade the LNB from the blazing sun:

Are you having trouble with any transponders in particular? When 2 transponders have the same frequency, one horizontal and one vertical, it is critical that skew is perfect to minimise interference from the opposite transponder. This may be the cross polarisation you have read about - I don't recall reading that the Inverto Black Ultra is worse than other similar universal LNBs with regards to this.

I see all the transponders quite well.
Some with more signal: 10847 V and 11068 V with 11.5 dB.
Others with less signal: 11426 V - 8.75 dB and 12382 H with 7.5 dB.
Measured with Dreambox Two.

I will continue with the Inverto Black Ultra.

Sun protection seems like an excellent idea. It is curious that the installer of the antenna did not say anything. In this area the temperature of more than 38ºC in the shade is frequent.

Thanks

Especially the 10847 V (BBC one) and 11024 H (Cbeebies) channels.
I welcome them well with the Inverto Black ultra LNB. But I wanted to know if in your experience, there is a better LNB.

Thanks.

So you just want to know, if you get the max out of your dish and LNB?

I don't know much of differences between LNBs.

But to check your dish, you could check if it isn't warped (by doing the 'string test' ~ assuming the dish design has a flat dish face),

and you could check if your LNB feedhorn is in fact exactly at the focal point of the dish (by doing some measuring of your dish, and then use a parabolic calculator to find the location of the focal point).

BBC One and CBeebies are both available via Intelsat 901 27.5w you might have better luck with that, no subscription is needed. You will need to purchase a satellite receiver that is able to receive these channels.

BBC One and CBeebies are also on Hotbird 13e however this is a bit complicated.

Inverto’s high-performance Ultra LNBs were specifically designed to address the need for superior reception under the edges of the satellite footprint skirt, small dish sizes or long coax cables. Thanks to its novel feed horn design and superior front-end components, this LNB provides higher conversion gain yet with low noise figure and best phase noise performance. The combination of innovative feed horn design, higher spec components, excellent cross polarization isolation and advanced filter design enables improved handling of interfering and spurious signals. This LNB provides a leap in the overall reception performance compared with standard LNBs, enabling the reception of signals from one satellite, its distribution to a single tuner Set-top box and is ready for Ultra High Definition TV transmissions in 4K or 8K resolution. Designed to meet strict specifications and manufactured to the highest industry standards, this unique range of LNBs is an ideal solution for installations with challenging reception conditions.

Not seen that one before, unfortunately the neck is shorter than the original Black Ultra LNBs :(
it is equipped with feedhorn upfront.
