As multistream seems to be more common my simple (?) question is: Which receiver would you recommend for ordinary as well as multistream reception? I think VU+ may have some recevier suitable for this?

I wouldn't go anywhere near Vu+ personally, however all receivers with Silabs tuners can do multistream easily (Mutant HD51, Zgemma H7/H9, VuSolo4K, etc), but there's a problem with the Asturias mux on 30W. Also Octagon SF8008 with blindscan.
Osmini pro/Osmio 4K Edision with AVL tuner can also receive multistreams, even better and stable than Silabs, plus they can do blindscan. But zapping is a little slower compared to Silabs tuners (slower tuner lock).
Anyway there are quite a few choices right now, but bear in mind you need to reside within the new upcoming Transalpine beam, reception will get worse by the end of the year for most European countries outside that footprint.

Receiver for multistream y DVB-S2X.?

The cheapest VU +, the VU + Zero4K, complies (€ 150), the blind search does not work, it finds the tp, but not all the channels when not searching in the high band of the LNB (11700-12750).

Cheaper Octagon SF8008Twin (2 sat), € 120, 100% blind channel search does not work (skips from 11700 to 11800, problems with 16APSK/32APSK channels, stops the search, with SR1000, restarts if you put.
Very good with mobile phone interference (LTE), when changing channels, it slows down 3 seconds and then ok.
The tuner is less sensitive than the new VU + DVB-S2X, but it is much better with LTE interference.
Same behavior with original image, openatv6.2 and 6.3, BH and openspa7.3.9 and 7.3.10.
----------------

Best blindscan atm is with Edision OSmini pro/Osmio 4K! But slight problem with the tuner lock time when zapping, it's noticeably slower than Silabs. Also no signal in any SR below 1000, even 1000 struggles!
Vu+ do not support SNR in db in their BCM tuners, they think it's redundant....
