Latterly the only reason I used Maplin was to purchase something quickly from the local shop to finish a project, certainly nothing expensive (i.e. 99% of their stock).
They'll be online only if I understand; better to use RS these days as they're P&P free.

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

If Maplin are to return as an online-only presence, they'll need to have good competitive prices with the likes of Banggood and DealExtreme selling the same stuff they stocked for less, which is pretty much why the stores went belly up, selling cheap chinese tat at premium prices.......... :-doh

Well, just found out today (via a Nectar card "extra points" alert email!) that Maplin do now seem to have returned online, here - they appear to have dropped all the basic components level stuff, and are so are very similar to many other "consumer electronics" sites, and thus still seem to be selling "cheap chinese tat at premium prices" (but you can get 2x Nectar points if you shop there quickly:-rofl2)
