I am eager to get a new really big satellite dish in the garden. But limited cash at the moment in this corona situation.

If you look at this:

It seems quite clever, because the antenna is made of several sections screwed together. Clever, like an IKEA package.
Would be easy to send in the mail.

Also look at the included base, it also looks clever. Only a concrete slab wound be needed. Bracket seems sturdy.

Question is, if I bought a 150cm one, could it be used on ASTRA BBC satellite? I guess C band and Ku is very different, but still.

What could I expect if I fittet an universal LNB for the KU band. Would the dish be unefficient like say it acted as a 1m dish?

You'd need a feed horn to match, build quality & performance tends to be very poor on this type of dish. Minimum order is 100 dishes so probably a no go anyway.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

There is a 1.8m petalliised dish here doing not a lot.

Bring a bottle of your finest Norwegian imbibement when you come to collect it.
