Hey guys - pls delete if this is breaking the rules:

...with Engima2 , is it possible to decode a stream afterwards, i.e if you recorded the stream, and then later find the CW ?

can it be decoded?

or is it tough luck, and move on....?

thanks!

I'm not sure if you can do it on an Enigma2 box but if you transfer the recorded .ts file to a PC, you can use VLC to decode the recording.

In VLC go to "Tools". Then "preferences". Tick the button to show "all". Then go to "Input/Codecs" and to "Demuxers". Under demuxers select "Mpeg-TS". This will bring up a page with 2 boxes to enter "CSA Key" and "second CSA key". Input the key into the CSA Key section.

There is software out there that will decode your file and dump a decrypted .ts file but I forget what that software is called!

Edit: Found the program, it's available to download on sourceforge. tsdec
