Ok i want to be sure i can use my Sky card in the F15/16 before i buy it.

Reading the Russian forum there is no mentioning of these protocols, only Newcamd.

Is it already embedded in the latest firmware from Legion? some secret key to enable it or is just editing the cfg files and off you go as with a Linux box?

Also is LAN port enabled so i can use my receiver to connect as client and also telnet into the shell of the box? i have a Linux server running Oscam.

I don't know about oscam, but there is available a module for cccam (I have it, but don't know if it is ok to upload it here). You also need the "p" firmware versions. Configuration is done with the help of a text file (something like cccam.cfg, but not the same).

LAN is enabled, and you may connect the decoder as a client to a cccam or newcamd server (or to compatible servers). Telnet is not supported though.

Please dont - put it on a file hosting site & put a none clickable link to it. instead.

Yes, client. I believe that there aren't many non-linux decoders that can work as servers in cs.

You have obviously done a fair bit of research. Please can you share and give a bit more information about the firmware versions and modifications that are available. non clickable links to user forums would also be nice. Don't know about the Russian site (babelfish would be necessary) but German sites would be great.

There is a German sub-forum for Dr.HD F15/16 here -

As regards firmware updates, nothing new there. Any port in a storm I suppose, considering the paucity of sites specialising in the Dr.HD series.

Thank you Llew very much appreciated.
I have been considering one of these boxes over the weekend, however...

I have been on the official dr.hd forum this afternoon and to be very frank I was very disappointed with the number of un-resolved problems users are experiencing. Seems that dr.hd is really dragging out the release of the firmware update. And seems unresponsive to user complaints.... or am I being over critical?

Thanks Analoguesat I had missed that thread, makes very interesting reading.

It would be good to read some other reviews/opinions, or to wait for the F22? (but there again how long is a piece of string?)

Hi,

Is there any windows program that will convert cccam or newcamd lines to a .cfg file so that I don't have to input them on my Spiderbox 9000HD

Also is there anything that will test the free cccam / newcam lines on my windows pc (so I can watch tv on my pc)

Thank's in advance

You can use notepad.
Copy the lines to a notepad document, ensure it has a capital C: at the beginning.
Once done go to file, Save As, in the Save As Type, drop down box, select All Files.
In File Name, type server.cfg and save, preferably to your desktop, or location you can easily find.
Now load the .cfg file onto your USB Stick, connect it to your spiderbox, go into the spiderbox menu, select USB and load the .cfg file as you would the softcam file.

In future please start your own thread, instead of using an open, unrelated thread.
