The TD110 works quite well on a Dark Motor (can't recommend the "Supreme" version as I had problems with that motor when connected to an E2 receiver, as then confirmed by the supplier as being a "known issue" - but no such problems with the "Superior" version).

BTW: the problem I have had with both Superior DM's has been that they can develop backlash after some use - can be adjusted, but you need to remove the "Do not remove" sticker on one side of the motor to do that :D

OTOH, "good luck" with adjusting the dish declination on the TD110 - that's where you "need" "3 or more" hands for precise adjustments unless you are pretty strong!

I don't understand the "3 or 4 arms" comments, lol. I didn't have that issue, i took the dish up to the motor (already on pole), quite easily, clamped it to the motor quite easily, made sure it was straight when motor was set to zero.

(USALS already set on ST:cool: - went to 1 west, got a decent signal on Alfa TV - and then began the tweaking, it was when i was testing the extreme ARCs, the motor gave up (10 years old) - i'm hoping its not the weight of the Triax that caused it, it was like stuck at 53e east and wouldn't come up using receiver, or with the manual E and W buttons - got an (red \ orange} light.

I do hate the way the slider mount allows the dish to wobble east and west slightly on the bracket rather than just up and down, but i can see once signal is locked in, and locked up, theres no way it can slip - which is good.

once the new motor is on and ive got the dish lined up, i might be happy with it, but i'll always be thinking of a 1.2....which leaves me with the decision of getting either a Gibby 1.25 (but wouldnt be able to use new motor as it points down, and not up and needs a mod to bracket) - or the Laminas OFC-1200 - more costly

decisions decisions...

Decisions, decisions.....When I removed my heavy CM 1.2 with 36v motor I wish I had got something a bit bigger than a Fibo 90. But bigger Fibo's are hard to find. I did replace the cheap rivets on the Fibo for s/s nuts and bolts as I thought the rivets were rubbish would not hold the dish to the back plate in strong winds. Money is not the problem for me as I don't drink or smoke and to old for funny women.

Any dish over 1M is going to have it's challenges to align precisely. However, the Triax does have more challenges than others. Not only does the dish wobble W - E in the mount but it's elevation slips while you are trying to tighten the clamp, hence the need for multiple arms. The Laminas is easier because you aren't moving a heavier dish surface and the clamp can be tightened while holding the dish in place.
