Lots of dubai feeds on 7e FTA

Watched it on Dubai TV on BADR at 26E - very good (although the SS/SQ weren't as high as you reported on 7E, the SX88+ had no problems with it).
(looked for the "easiest/quickest" catch, and that was as above - because SWMBO is watching The Sound of Music on SKY Arts!)

It seems to me that the emirates are trying to outdo each other with fireworks every year. I've noticed that Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai all have their own coverage and events.

Onwards to next timezone: Al-Sharqiyah on 13°E having a live show with live musical performances but unclear from where.

2000 - what an hour! A magnificent light show from Dubai & a fabulous fireworks display from just along the coast in Abu Dhabi.

Ive just flicked over to Germany - das Erste has the annual Silvester Stadl show on - its heartbreaking to see a few dozen folk in the audience instead of the raucous bier keller type crowd.

Re: German TV - Indeed. Although, for clarity - it is now called differently. The old "-stadl" format from the days of Andy Borg with schlager music shows multiple times per year is no more.
