Indeed you are correct @ozumo it is a steel insert /bush in the photo ... so long since i had one apart and took that photo , i had forgotten that ... the 1.8 is almost certainly the same i,m sure .. i will see if i can check that later without removing the bottom bolt , as the mount is in use ... maybe i can see if i take the nut and washer off ?
that would be great if you can nelson :)

No insert on my 1.8 .... just the flanged oilite bush with a 1/2 in / 12.5 mm bolt through .... and they are looking a bit dry, time to oil/grease them i think - l.o.l.

@nelson_b in you pics, there is an insert, the brass ring - i have the same, but only on the top part, do you have those inserts on upper and lower?

At a guess, that brass ring is an oilite bush, they are very cheap if you need to buy one.
Check out any of the web sites that sell bearings.

Ah - yes it should have an oilite bush in the top and bottom fixing points so you are missing one .... you can get precise measurements from the one you have .. and order one from a bearing / engineering company

@manikm909

Just in case you were not aware, oilite bushes come in quite a few different shapes. Some have a shoulder or collar that does not fit into the hole but sits on top, others have no collar and all of the bush fits into the hole.
If you order a replacement for the missing one make sure you get the correct shape.

Dont Know ...... It would be worth having a look .... the 1.2 mount - bush / bearing has a steel tube insert ... without the insert it may do the job ?

CM 1.2 bearings are tiny, about 6-7mm diameter bronze pin, the same polarmount as their 0.9m. They will not work for long on a 1.8m
