Tired adjective, but"Cult Horror" certainly describes the film Death Line. Cannibals on the London Underground? Yup.

I saw this when it came out in the '70's, and haven't see it since then - it doesn't seem to get a showing anywhere these days.

Donald Pleasance stars , with Christopher Lee at his creepiest.

Typical banal US title change - Raw Meat.

Talking Pictures TV - 9PM tomorrow, Friday 14th.

Raw Meat (1972) - IMDb

Will watch , but I always thought the catch phrase was 'mind the gap'.

Perhaps I'm thinking of another horror film...

I haven't been on the Tube for some time, but if I recall, " Mind The Doors" used to be a recorded announcement given when the lift doors in some of the stations opened/closed.

Thinking about the film now, i understood Christopher Lee was involved in the cannibalism, but checking the cast, he's down as a Scotland Yard Inspector. Sorry.

lol

i caught the end of death line yesterday - i had it on DVD called "Raw Meat" - so thought it was familiar.

i'm fascinated with the london underground (the hidden stuff) so this film was a treat

i worked in Holborn from 1997 to 2017 - so was interesting to see the older London Underground as it was way back when.

yes the term is MIND THE GAP when you're on the platform, and MIND THE DOORS ...please... is played when a train stop, when you're on the train.

i googled the flat which the couple were living in, he ran out from when he realised his girlfriend hadnt returned from the tube...
its on the market for nearly 2K a week rental

actually in Bloomsbury

Christopher Lee's appearance in the film had a huge feeling of being crowbarred in to me. It wasn't even a sub-plot as he didn't appear again. Apart from a reference or two later on (which felt equally added on) it could quite easily be left out.

According to some comments on IMDB, Lee took a scale payment as he wanted to work with Pleasence. The filming of his character took place on a Saturday morning. If only he had been there for an afternoon session his character could have had an appearance for a closing scene.

Death Line is on again tonight. Set your timer for 1:50 am on TPTV.

On slightly earlier is The Golem. Again, probably a timer film as it's on at 10:50 on Legend .
