Hi all! New poster here, but I've been reading the forums on and off for a while... :)

I recently had my Triax TD110 professionally fine tuned to make sure that I was tracking the arc correctly (my efforts before hand were a little off, so I was misisng some weaker stuff like 4W and the far E/W satellites) The limit on the motor has been removed, but unfortunately the software restricts me from moving the dish past 56.9E with USALS. I know I'm able to get a lot further round with DiSEqc1.2, but as I manually need to add in the frequencies to know where I'm moving to with the 'Move East/West' commands on the motor/box, I could do with a list of transponders that I'm likely to be able to get.

Through trial and error, I managed to lock onto 62E last night, and a blind scan found 11.191H, 11.555H and 11.596H, plus I found an unknown signal from somewhere at 11.672V 14260. That one was weird, as it seemed to jump back and to from no signal at all, to about 70%??

So, if anyone has a list of strong active TP's on 68.5E, 66E, 64.2E, 62E, 60E and 57E (plus any I've missed), that would be great! :)

Also - when using the move E/W commands on the boc, does anyone know how far it actually moves the dish with each press? Is it something as simple as 0.1 of a degree etc?

I'll try and get some photos of my setup on here for those that might be interested!

william-1 provides a full list, which he regularly updates, of the strongest transponders in the UK, but only for 52E to 45W.
Just Sharing This - ..Strongest TV Transponders 52 east to 45 west

For further satellites try lyngsat.com, click on the satellites, Europe link, and check the beam maps, of the various transponders, to see if you can access them, from the UK, and what size dish you require. The further East/West, you go, the more obstacles can block your reception, including the curvature of the Earth.

Thanks for the help. I've already checked William's very useful list before, but just hoped that someone might have had a few more active transponders past 52E... I've found in the past that footprint maps aren't always the most accurate :p

Footprint maps tend to err on the side of caution, just try the stongest transponders.
You might be able to get the Middle Eastern beams, on 57E, try 11186 V 2290

Strange that you're not able to drive the motor beyond 57E with USALS... What motor is it? Have all the software limits been removed (on the motor and the receiver itself if it has those)?

The restriction could be in the used receiver !
With my MaxDigital 220S on Usals , I can choose (at my location) 62ºE till 45º W .
When the Openbox F500 is connected to that same motor , I can select more eastern end west positions .

Yep, I'm pretty sure that it's the receiver software that places the restriction based on your original longitude/latitude settings. I just get an 'Out of range' error message. Removing the software/motor limits does nothing. The same thing happens on all of my Openbox/Skybox receivers. I found a bit more information about it via Google, and others have had the same issue. Weird!
