dm7020si dreamup will not flash the box

hi guys i have a dm7020si brand new ,its never been used but it came with gemini on it .i tried to set it up on gemini but the screen goes blank and nothing works. so i got nabilosat7020.nfi and tried to flash it using dreamup it came back flash failed box is now unuseable , i have gotten no where all it one version says generating error , so i downloaded dreamup quite a few times more from different places and unzipped them. tried them all still no good but now i get flash aborted by user . is there any thing i can do guys please help. by the way the dreamup i have used is 3.3.4 and also 3.3.5 .

i know how to use dreamup thats not a problem ,the problem is that all versions of dreamup refuse to work on this box . i keep getting on screen error messages, its either (flash failed ,box is now unuseable ) or (flash aborted by user ) i got the ip of the box by pressing and holding the bottom button on the front panel then switching the box off and back on at the same time . i then tried dream control center and used the ip i got and only get login failed . the box came this way from china with gemini image on it (neither the box or gemini work )so its being sent back.

Sounds like you have a clone... sonic1 mentioned the use of the web browser (built in the ROM of the box, original ones anyway) which is much faster and you would exclude your serial cable (just to cover all angles). There may be some issues with clones and dreamup as well. Hopefull some users have run into similar problems and found a solution

I have the same problem and my box is an original and not a clone the light on the front of the box comes on but nothing else and i can no longer comunicate with it, is there any tests that can be done to find the problem ?

i kept downloading and trying different versions of dreamup untill i got one that worked , i reflashed my box with nabilosat and its sorted .

Thanks for the reply looks like i need to try differant versions of dreamup and hopefully my box isnt dead :)

if you have lights and your lcd display is working the box is not dead ,so yes mate i would keep trying . i can help you out with a link to download all versions of dreamup but i dont think i can post a link here ,so if you need the link send me a pm and ill pm the link to you .
