I bought a TNTSat viewing card from France a few months ago and yesterday had my dish realigned to 19.2E. Upon putting the viewing card into my TNTSat box (Sagemcom DTR 94160S HD) and attempting to watch the TNTSat channels, a message comes up on my box which says "Le terminal n'est pas correctement configuré. Veuillez contacter votre opérateur pour plus d'informations." According to Google Translate, that says "The terminal is not correctly configured. Please contact your operator for more information". I know there's not an issue as far as signal and my dish is concerned as I can receive all the FTA channels on 19.2E fine. The message only appears when I attempt to watch the encrypted TNTSat channels. Am I wrong in thinking that I need to buy a new viewing card? I believe this might be because the card has passed its expiration date for activation but I could very well be wrong.

Regardless, if anyone could get back to me with some advice, that'd be great. I don't want to spend more money on another viewing card if I don't have to so all replies are very much appreciated.

Check the expiration date of the card. It should be in one of the menus.
But if you bought it only few months ago, then it should be OK unless the shop sold you a version that is no longer supported.
Please upload the card photo (without the card number showing) so that we can see which version it is.
Try to unplug the receiver wait few minutes and then plug it into the mains and rescan all the relevant transponders.

Images of the card should be attached in this response but let me know if they aren't. I'm pretty sure the viewing card is the latest version but I'm not certain.

I'm pretty sure this card is the latest version but I'm not certain. I honestly have no idea how to find out the expiration date as the box is in French and can't be changed to English. Nonetheless, I shall give it a go.

I haven't been able to find the expiration date for the card. However, I'm now even more convinced that the viewing card is the issue because I can receive Canal+ at this moment because it's unencrypted. Also, I apologise if there are a bunch of responses to this thread that say the same thing. My internet is being a bit slow today so I've inadvertently posted the same thing more than once.

Card version looks OK.
Perhaps the receiver needs firmware update. Try to find the present firmware from the menus.
I know it can be difficult as the menus are in French, but just try.
In the meantime leave the receiver on a certain channel (I don't remember which or when you will get the update, but if you have been to France, then ask someone you know there to find out which channel to leave it on.
I remember reading this few months ago. Leave it switched on to the so called reference transponder (11856V / 29700) to check for channel list and software updates. Leave it on for few days, if this is possible at all.

My card looks like yours, TNT SAT 6, so should be fine.
On Philips box, Menu > Information > Abonnement > Droits (=rights) > TNTSAT shows validity dates.
May also be worth trying a tnt transponder\channel scan, on Philips: Installation > recherche chaines > Recherche TNTSAT, may be something vaguely similar on your box.

After some searching around on the box, I stumbled upon droits (rights) as 4wd suggested. It appears that my card is activated as of yesterday so the card is not the issue. I think therefore you must be right that the box needs to do a software update and then everything will be up and running. That makes sense as this is the first time the box has been plugged in since I bought it which was a few months ago. Is there any way to update the box manually? If not, would leaving the box on standby work? I'm not quite sure how to switch it to the reference transponder either. I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to satellite television so if you could help in any way or give any advice, I'd truly appreciate it.

Put some photos up with the box's menu pages and we'll tell you what to press .

Please check this link
Canal France on Astra 1L/1M/1N at 19.2°E - LyngSat
Transponder tp 72 for the reference frequency 11856V you can leave the box on channel M6 Boutique which is FTA and wait for few days.
Unfortunately there is no way to update the box only OTA (Over The Air) which means wait for the update from the satellite.
One question: Did you buy the TNTCARD or you are using the one included with the receiver box?
In your original post you said you bought a TNTSAT card and this is confusing me.

I bought a separate card which had not been activated. It activated on 1/5/18 when I first set up the box and inserted the viewing card. For some reason, I'm not able to pick up M6 Boutique even after scanning twice. I don't know how to tune into it manually as all the menus are in French. Can a box update OTA when on standby or does it actually have to be on? Also, will the box still update OTA even if it isn't tuned in to M6 Boutique?

I am still confused because as far as I know, this box should come with a TNTSAT card. It is part of the deal.
When did you buy the box? Check the inside of the box perhaps there is another card hidden inside and if there is, don't insert it as it will activate it and you don't want to waste it.

The problem with this TP is that it doesn't have any TNTSAT channels and the box usually scans for all the TNTSAT channels first and puts them at the beginning of the channels and the rest of the channels are probably hidden somewhere.
Did you scan FTA only or also encrypted channels?
I think you need to ask someone who knows French well to be with you while doing these setups.
I would leave the box switched on and not on standby although it will probably update on standby, just to play it safe.

If you don't sort this out yourself, perhaps you can send it to TV Corner (A French store that sells TNTSAT boxes and cards) and ask them if they can update the firmware for you (but first jot down the present firmware as they will need it).
You can tell them you bought it in France but would appreciate their help if this is possible and to give you a quote (after they reply positively)

I bought the box preowned from eBay. The seller was also selling a TNTSat card with it but it was due to expire before I would be able to get someone to realign my dish to 19.2E so I purchased another one instead from eBay brand new from France. On my EPG, all the TNTSat channels are first. I've looked through the EPG to find M6 Boutique and it isn't on there.

My channel list is like this:
...
26 LCI
27 FranceInfo
31 Paris Premiere
32 Canal+ Sport
33 Canal+
40 France 24
41 Euronews
42 TV5 Monde
301 F3 Alpes
And then it's the rest of the F3 regions before it goes to the German channels.

Is that normal? Should M6 Boutique be in that list? Do you think my box will still receive an update even if it isn't picking up M6 Boutique?

I think your best course of action is to contact TV Corner, as I suggested, send them the box+card

Looks like this box is ...old, came on the market 10 years ago or so (personally I would never have bought it), and is it really worth all this trouble when a modern and instantly working receiver can be had for little money ?

Anyway, keep on trying for a while, may get lucky in the end. See picture for some guidance.
And if all fails, you will at least have learned some useful French :O)

I got the box working about half an hour ago. The software on my box was up to date and the viewing card had been activated so the only advice I could find that might result in my box working was to leave the box tuned in to a scrambled channel for a maximum of two hours which resets the settings on the decoder. About an hour later, the channel descrambled along with every other TNTSat channel so the problem is now fixed.
