a second-hand Egis is better than a new one ?
I do not think so, but price for second hand one can be much less than for a new one. Besides, I do not know whether new motors are for sale and how much they cost.

my doubt about second hand Egis is having trouble after mounting and no warranty on it!
anyway I will have a look on special offers on it

Hi all,
no chance to choose a second-hand robot because some offers are with no controller or components (screws,...).
So I'm thinking about new full equipped Egis .
Does anyone know if on a bi-axial motor each single Lnb's KU and C must be equipped with a polarizer?

Hi guys.
I managed to buy a complete old EGIS ROBOT in good condition. But I am not satisfied with the possibilities of the original control unit. That's why I started developing my own solution. I have a new HW ready and I am trying to write a control SW. It will probably take me some time. If you are interested in my work, I have a detailed description here: www.jevicko.org/egis

If you use a Polarotor with a C and Ku lnb , there is a skewmotor that works for both lnb's .
Long time ago with a universal Ku lnb on my 1.5 m PF dish , I skewed the complete dish .

@Hogocz , maybe its better to start your own topic instead of continuing here . (or a mod will move it )
I do have some experience with this equipment but I'm not intending to make a new controller but can help you out with the original schematics .

It may be better to start your own topic. So far, I wanted to find out if anyone would be interested in rebuilding EGIS ROBOT. Looks like yes. :-)
