On Thursday, March 25, 2021, the Russian satellite operator RSCC launched a new telecommunications satellite, Express 103 , into commercial operation . The spacecraft was parked at an orbital position of 96.5 ° E.

The new communication satellite is designed to provide digital television and radio broadcasting, high-speed Internet access and data transmission, as well as the provision of communication services in the aerospace and maritime industries in Russia and abroad.

Express 103 at 96.5 ° E will replace the Express AM33 satellite and will provide communications in the eastern regions of Russia and in the region of Southeast Asia. The operator expects a significant improvement in the quality and reliability of services provided.

Express 103, together with the Express 80 satellite, which is already in operation, was launched into space from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on 31 July 2020. The satellite was manufactured by the Russian company JSC (Information Satellite Systems) named after academician MF Reshetnev together with the European company Thales Alenia Space. . The expected lifespan of the satellite is 15 years.

RSCC currently operates the largest Russian network, which consists of 12 satellites in geostationary orbit with capacity in the C, Ku, Ka and L bands in orbital positions from 1 4 ° W to 140 ° E, which allows it to provide services to clients in 58 countries in all continents.

Express-103 @ 96.5° E

Maybe there are other enthusiasts interested in extreme positions on the arc, like the Express-103 at 96.5E.
Here's what the signal and muxes I found in my area with the 1.50m antenna and with the Crazyscan, IQmonitor, and neumoDVB app.
