Rather than dispatch this straight to the tip has anyone come across this type of fault and be able to suggest the reason for it, seems there will be only three things swap, the PSU, the main board and screen itself. There's a similar model on Ebay with cracked screen but don't want to end up spending more than it's really worth if it turns out to be the screen itself.
This appeared at switch on one day so there's been no knocks or falls , you can probably see from the video that the right side of the screen is OK but at refresh it slowly fades up right to left with a green tinge. Possibly related it doesn't always switch on but the standby LED alternates on and off suggesting a PSU fault but could that also account for the screen behaviour?
