Aw, I see, it is purely theoretical exercise.... :) Theoretically, double-reflector satellite systems perform ~10% better than single-reflector ones. Do you have some experience also in practical satellite reception?
I just do not understand how the dimensions of the SUB can help you in your endeavor.

I suppose it would be off-topic to the topic of feedsat's thread.:D
Little experience like successfully installing a 60cm and a 90cm offset dish antenna.
I would try to establish a relationship between Sub and Main if it exist.

Nothing secret :) Not thinking to build anything.
Curious to know how dimension of sub-reflector increases with increase in dimension of main reflector (dish size) ? Is there any ratio between these two ?
I also want to know sub-reflector dimension of 3.8M Ku-Band Dual Optics Antenna (Series 1384 )
If you know please share here for all.:-clap
The 1388 sub-reflector is a multi-construction where the backplate housing is bonded to the back of the parabola with an additional honeycomb filler. The assembly cannot be dismantled without damaging it.

The dimensions would be of no use in designing something along the same lines though I can confirm the main reflector has the same three dimensions as the 1383 model.

I am not sure whether Fillips made those antennas at all. As far as I know, antennas were made in Norway by Fibo company, and they made them under different names, like Phillips, Delta Star, Fibo and maybe others. But I might be wrong here.
