I'm try to understand the combination of frequencies and transponders but I've seen on lyngsat that some satellites have several frequencies at one transponder. I was learned that each transponder have one frequency for one channel, or a multiplex of channels.

Its all to do with the bandwidth used on the satellite. Some transponders on the satellite are wider bandwidth so more than one frequency can be transmitted on it.

However some satellites (the birds at 16E for example) parcel up the available bandwidth and use it to distribute half a dozen channels on slightly different frequencies.

BTW - one thing to watch out for -- Here on the forum we tend to use transponder and frequency interchangably. Strictly speaking the transponder is the the amplifier system up on the satellite..... :)
