Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
What are the "best guesses" (based on historical "evidence") of how long these receivers will remain "viable" in terms of automatic key updates?

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Er, it's the brand name, send that Manhattan back since it wasn't made in the US and didn't come with a full-size Statue of Liberty.

It does support DiSEqC, and is fully multi-Satellite capable. The DVB S/S2 standard provides for up to 14 day EPG capability (Generally still 7, though), BUT what you get on any Channels on any Satellite depends upon the individual Broadcaster.

eg German Channels on 19.2E often have seven days worth of data, but other Broadcasters provide only Now & Next or often bog all.

Lots of channels dont carry any epg info. Some have now and next. A relatively few carry a full week of epg info

It varies dramatically.

From what I can see some channels are auto updating (please don't ask about this read up forum rules don't allow talk) for less than £20 delivered it doesn't break the bank,

According to this it does

Fully support to 7 days Electronic Program Guide(EPG)
V7 HD
but it depends on the satellite right because some channels only show now and next?

^^^^^
That's the bog standard DVB S/S2 compliance.

It means no more than that it can display 7 days worth ..... If it's actually provided.

It is not, however, capable of capturing the Freesat EPG.
