"in the UK" is, by definition, far too vague a location when discussing marginal reception.

However, in many parts of the UK, 7W and 10E don't yield much.

54.9e is a good one. Pretty low in the sky with one fairly easy transponder, there's also a couple more TPs that a well aligned 1m will scrape in.

Nilesat 201 & Eutelsat 7WA are far away from uk footprint even France is out of footprint. Maybe some possibility down in Kent on a bigger dish than 1 meter. I think in Scotland chance of receiving anything from 7W on 1 meter is impossible.10E is easy catch for me. 11628V3800 is 90% , few of the tps containing feeds are week tho. For 10E I park the dish at 9E & separate the TPS on 9E eutelsat 9B.

Yes Yamal 402 Northern beam:
12654v 2800 Kuban 24 is the easiest catch
12531h 2500 radio transponder
12522v 27500 U-TV

5e Nordic beam may be possible as well:
11345h 30000 SBN International

My Satellite Setup
Laminas 1.2M fibre dish with an IBU, on a Clarke Tech USALS motor, covering 57E - 24.5W to an Octagon SX88. Displayed on a 20" Dyon LED TV.

Seperate 80 cm dish on 28E with a Humax Freesat for SWMBO.
Free Sat V8 meter. Sony Bravia 46" LCD, Sony BluRay and Home Cinema.

I have picked up Nilesat on a 1 metre before. There was no lock on some transponders during the day but once the sun went down they came in. Don't rely too much on the published footprints. However, from your location, 7W is challenging...

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!

I used to get some with the Triax TD110 (which is actually pretty much equivalent to a "somewhat better than average " 1m dish) but haven't tried lately.

5e not 3e :)

Good going on 55e, have you blind scanned it to see if you pull anything else in? Anything from the Russia beam would be mightily impressive.

I get most TP's from E7WA here in West Yorkshire on a 1m, just a few of the 8PSK TP's that I can't lock. Nothing of course from Nilesat 201, that would need something gigantic! If you want a test, try the Amos Satellites at 4W, I can get a handful of TP's but they are marginal at best!

Intelsat 18 has to be the hardest one to get in the UK :-ohmy

At 180E there is 12000 miles of solid rock in the way between us and it :-rofl2
That's straight through the Earth's core - so that's "12,000 miles of solid and molten rock (and other stuff)" :D

If you wait until it's out of fuel and is in *very* inclined orbit, then it may rise above the horizon. But easier to just drill through the Earth. Or move the Australia.
