hello quick question

hello all

bought a techno receiver and assumed it would be up to date etc

i got a motor all setup and and received all channels in good time from the sats i wish to receive,13.0 ,19.2 and of course freesat on 28 etc

i bought a full 12 month viewing card + cam for viaccess on hotbird but the channels will not open,they did very briefly for like 1 minute and then went back to scrambled....

my software on the technomate is from 2007.....i thought it would be up to date.....now sense tells me is this the problem why the channels will not open??


if this is the reason do i need to update the box and if so how do i do it?

the techno website has the downloads but does not tell you how to update the receiver and the manual is unhelpful for this also

right equipment im using is
technomate 3400 ci
viaccess cam
60inch dish
everything is all new

Which package have you subscribed to?
What information doe it give you in the cams menu, can it read the card?
Was the card already activated or were you informed how to activate the card?

hello

i have a card for free x,dorcel etc,
info on the cam is brief infact does not tell me much,what should it say? lol
no instructions to register it,just cam as is with the viaccess cam.


as i said it unscrambled briefly but then stopped working

alos i have tried the card in both the cam and the multicrypt reader.........

I wasn't referring to the information on the cam itself but the information provided using the receiver options to access the cam, and thus the card.
If you go into the receivers menu options you should find the Cam and be able to access it to read the card.
You might have to contact your supllier to have the activation signal re-sent to the card, unless the card has already been activated by the supplier.

hi thanks for the info.....just had some small success....
when i turn off the receiver i.e at the plug it reboots and shows the channels fine....however as soon as you go on any scrambled channel say if by accident etc it then shows the channels again as scrambled until a reboot of the box is done.

It sounds like your receiver might be patched and causing a problem, try turning the patch off.
Try a search for turning patch off in Technomate, you should find out how to do it. Otherwise you might need to load the latest software.
If you have access to another receiver try the cam/card in that.

thanks for the info.ok what ive done is basically deleted all scrambled channels and only kept the viaccess ones i have a viewing card for and fta channesl and so far everything is working ok.......

i will be updating the software as soon as i can also so will see how i get on.
