I used to be good at all this sat stuff,, now I can't even log in..

With that said,, can I ask how big a dish do I need for to watch BBC in Fuerteventura.

Currently all I have is the Spainish Freeview,, 20 odd channels all in spainish bar one. Back in the day I might have figured it out myself, But I must really ask for help now.
So what size dish do I need to pick up BBC in Fuerteventura.

Of course I remember. Just before the addition to our family

You've chosen the better island to live on, is it a bar you've bought ?

I've got one here, but it won't quite fit in the suitcase.

Just old and broken now,, have to sit on the balcony and sizzle because there in nothing on the box. The Bar across the road has been gouging me at €1.50 a pint when there is a match on TV.

So if I had the right size dish I could stay home and gouge the fridge.

Will your balcony handle the weight of a 3m dish ?

Does it face SE ?

You could get the Freeview back-up feeds from Intelsat 27.5°W on a smaller dish maybe? BBC1, BBC2, ITV, C4, C5, CBBC HD + the rest of the BBC channels in SD. They're in BISS.

Don't know exactly how big a dish that needs in the Canaries but I didn't think it was massive.

Is it Premier League, Championship or England games you're interested in watching?

Reception for 27.5w to watch BBC1, ITV etc is minimum 1.2m for the Canaries.

What is your broadband download speed? Speedtest.net

The bars here have huge bloody things ,, way too big and I would not bother at that size.

As for internet 15MB down is best I can have, anytime I ran speedtest I was getting 15MB, so not bad.
Thanks Guys.

1.2m-1.5m for the UK PSBs on 27.5°W would probably be your best trade-off then! Otherwise use a VPN and the internet.

Seemed quite a popular set-up when I was in Lanzarote just before el confinamiento...

And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

You can look it up here....https://www.satbeams.com/footprints?norad=39285

This is an active foot print map for that satellite.

Just zoom in to your location and click on it, this will give you an idea on the dish size needed for error free reception on that satellites beam for your area.

Ku band shows about an 85 cm dish, don't know what band/channels you need.
