Hi all, I need some advice on aligning a dish for Hungarian subscription channels.

Sorry for starting a new thread on this topic but I have searched and searched and can`t really find anything on the satellite I need to be pointing at.

Many thanks in advance,

Ryan

Free Hungarian Channels listed here _http://www.flysat.com/tv-hu.php

If you look around Flysat, Lyngsat or KingofSat you'll find Subscription Packages detailed as well - along with masses of other useful "what's where" stuff.

Thanks for the quick reply. So, if I understand this correctly, there are a number of different packages on different satellites. So all I need to do is find out what package the customer is subscribed to and align to that satellite?

Essentially, yes .............. provided of course that the dish is suitably sized for the EIRP of the relevant Beam at the point of reception.

Of the two most likely Satellites, Eurobird 9A is an easy catch, whereas Thor can be less so.

But the Hello HD package, for example is on Eurobird 9A, so let's hope that's the one.

Another package, Digi TV, is on Thor.

Customer already has it set up but cannot find the sat as they do not have a meter. Hope it`s a 1 metre at least!

Hi,
On the thor the elevation is bit different. Do you have a motorised dish ? In hungary the european satteliet are easy to catch. I can even have the Atlantic bird 3 with 30 cm dish.
