TechniSat DIGIPLUS UHD S Receiver, Sat Port Ethernet, Bus CI+, Compatible WiFi, Ultra HD, Double Tuner

Anyone on the list using it already?
It does HEVC & 4k
Also, does it come with Instructions in English...or Nur Auf Deutsch?
I do read German, but it 's easier in English as you know!

I thought you wanted a multi stream receiver :confused

Pretty sure I've seen a PDF manual in English.

it seems all too complicated...how long/how widely used will multistream ever be?
& I m not even sure I can receive the Italian one,(the new transalpine) which would add rai 4 ,5 maybe a few nice Sicilian,Sardinian regional ones
And the GT Media/combo thread tells me it 's a very uncertain story...
I don t feel ready for the Linux adventure ,just for uncertain Italian channels,
since most Rai are on Hotbird and HD,I'd be doing it for just a few channels,
well UNLESS UK or Germany suddenly opt for multistream...likely?or not?
I get the French bunch as...I'm in france ,so...multistream for which channels?
Or,am I wrong?

You won't know if you can get the 9°E Italians if you don't try! Fair point about RAI on 13°E but the 5°W multi streams stay FTA when the Hotbird ones encrypt. You could always get a Tivusat card I suppose.

There's no need for a Linux E2 receiver to receive multi stream but I guess if you want twin tuners there aren't many non-E2 options.

exactly,I'm basically using 28E,13E and 19E on a daily basis,so twin tuners are to me very convenient

As for 9E, the French forum "telesatellite" says you don' t get it beyond Marseille (unless you have a really BIG one)
Someone in Bayonne(extreme SW France) can 't get the Italian transalpine over a 2m40 dish..
Rest of 9E comes in booming however, including nice channels from French speaking Africa

Which non-E receiver would get me the multistreams?
Octagon SX88+, SX87. SX89. Also some of the GTMedia range. All are single tuner or terrestrial combo, no twin tuner satellite.

if i get positive statements that transalpine italy is receivable here I ll get one...
Now,how likely is it that OTHER nations may adopt multistreams?
This document makes me doubt I can get the transalpine italian

Does your current receiver show lock/signal level for the multi stream transponders on 5°W?

the French has 2 FTA channels that come booming...RT France ,Via Vosges
The italians used to have a few FTA trashy channels ,which were easily locked,
but they have now vanished now, only multistream Italians & French on 5W
I m afraid it s 2 different transalpine ,a Fr and an Italian one with different footprints

Lunchtime now,will try this afternoon
I checked Fly sat
The 5w transalpine seems to be french-italian ,same footprint for both.nations...Wonderful!!
The 9E is Italian only ,much tighter, not beyond Marseille or Lyon with "usual" dish sizes.
I could get the Italians over 5W IF they keep the 5W...
when they have 9E and 13E already, will they?

None of us hobbyists can be certain about the future. It's possible the 5°W RAI channels will move to 9°E, but I think they would have already gone by now if they were going to make that move.

I can't understand why someone would not want to use an E2 box. These days they are well cheap. e.g. Zgemma H9sse at around 65€. And high spec twin tuner Amiko model from less than 100€. And configuration as simple as non-enigma2 box.

Yes,but the Amiko twin tuner does terrestrial & sat
,I want a double SAT tuner, the DTT comes fraight form the Yagi to the set!
so Sat1 is 19E/13E on monoblock
sat2 astra 2 28E
can amiko deal with this?

New Amiko is twin sat. Look on forum sponsor site. It is a pretty new box so may not be on the site yet.

There are other boxes that do twin sat and terrestrial. e.g. Os Mio 4k+ has 1 DVB-S2X tuner and 1 DVB-S2X/T2/C tuner.

I don t need terrestrial, just connect two cables from 2 separate dishes!
The thing is,here we have internet tv "boxes" whereby we can record or watch replays from the DTT bouquet
So,idon t need my receiver to cater for DTT

This new Amiko looks interesting ,can you provide alink forit please?

AMIKO VIPER 4K V4K TWIN S2X UHD 2160p H.265 HEVC Linux Enigma 2
Twin Satellite DVB-S2X Tuners + built in 2.4Ghz WiFi.

Look at the forum sponsors site.

And, yes, plenty of signal from 5.0W. Those Rai transponders have 2/3 error correction so pretty easy.

Really? The last one I had was a pain in the behind. Unless the user interface has improved recently I wouldn't recommend one to rodscha.
