Is anyone surprised the bbc3 viewing figures are poor?

I don't know why anyone watches the BBC, especially online, when there are so many channels, on youtube, that provide far better information, and useful data.
I tend to view MSNBC, CNN, Lehto's Law, 5th Column, Rich rebuilds, Samcrac, Audit the Audit, and numerous other channels, which aren't tailored to the politically correct, and the BBC's agenda.

The only program, I remember viewing, was Doctor Who, and the BBC destroyed that, not just with the stories, cast, or writers, but by giving the doctor a posse, instead of an assistant, or two, or with Romana, a fellow timelord.

We would stop the TV licence, but I suspect using the large dishes as a hobby would require the TV licence. ??

The BBC are way to interested from our view, in promoting lets say unnatural activity : )

Any opinion to the contrary is removed from the comment forms sometimes available on online articles.

I was slightly perplexed that at the licencepayers expense, the BBC have flown Laura Koonsburg and posse of makeup/clothing and camera operatives stateside, simply to parrot what Boris and Biden will be briefing the local press (and from there to the outside world).

Have they not heard of t'internet ?

BBC Three EPG tests live on:
10817 V 22000
ID = 10817 & 10373

Now & next both show "Welcome to BBC 3"

Given how fond of caps they are these days I'm quite surprised they use 3 instead of THREE.

Just left a client's house after fitting a dish - they've quit VM - and BBC1 was playing with a 'Three' spin off (Gavin and Stacey Christmas special).

As I closed the door I heard 'I hope the new dish gives more than this shite' from their other half.

Not on terrestrial , yet.

Hoping they might recommission something my other half was involved in many years ago.

I fear the bus no longer travels beyond the politically correct stop these days.

Why are there 2 HD versions and 2 SD's, surely only 1 of each is needed? BBC Four/HD, BBC One London and BBC One HD are the same.

And surely any new channel launching in this day and age doesn't need a standard definition offering, Terrestrial is understandable because of limited bandwidth but not the case on Satellite.

Not on terrestrial , yet.

It is there on terrestrial too, just hidden so regular Freeview equipment/TVs don't show it in the channel list when scanning yet. I can see it via my PC tuner (it's unlabelled, carrying the same barker as the satellite version, on both the BBC SD mux and the PSB3 HD mux).

Why are there 2 HD versions and 2 SD's, surely only 1 of each is needed? BBC Four/HD, BBC One London and BBC One HD are the same.

One version of each is for Sky customers in Ireland. They point to the same video/audio streams, but on the Irish version the interactive HBBTV (BBC Red button prompt/iPlayer) PID isn't included. That's why there are two labels for some of the other BBC channels too.

Sky Irish sub boxes map to this second one for each of the channels, so no red button stuff displays.

The BBC THREE pre programme screen (I'm sure there's a proper name for it?). The THREE logo is all shouty in caps but otherwise it's written as BBC Three.

The giant on-screen logo has appeared, but it's usefully transparent.

And now the obligatory iPLAYER nag which will no doubt appear after every programme and promo.

(Driving traffic to iPLAYER is the whole purpose of the channel returning to linear television)

edit: I wonder if the HBB is active, I don't have any compatible receivers to try it on.
