Issues -SkyQ box and CNN transponder loss/ break up

According to a client by phone it's Channel 506 on their box, very intermittent and for most of the day is non existent.

A check on the settings menu throws up strength at 80 and quality at 90.

I asked them to try another channel and do same and signals are as above.

So, is there an issue with the frequency , or is the box - newer type - up the spout ?

It's on 11671 H on the Astra 2G Europe beam (CNN HD). The coverage maps recommend a 60 cm dish for the UK and Ireland. It is a weak transponder in Ireland, 9.2 dB on my 1.2 m dish, but the dish is not well aligned at present. CNN SD is even weaker, 11082 H.

There were some comments about issues with CNN on Sky boxes over on the DS forum a few days ago. Probably SkyQ as thats the majority box now.

Just peak the dish on that transponder, had to to it loads of times to make sure Sky don't fail the installation on a couple of the weak transponders, it's a compromise. As far as I know the signal strength and quality on the Sky box is read from the default transponder.

Thanks all, it's a remote assist, though it is strange only one transponder is affected.

I may drive over next week to check/rectify.
