Half a dozen of the ITV1 SD channels were closed a few days ago, the remaining channels redistributed and I believe one transponder is to be shut down to save money

Are there still HD regions missing that will mean the opening of new HD services?

11306 H 27500 is the Freeview Tyne Tees PSB2 multiplex feed for the relays that were previously served by the Bilsdale transmitter :)

It will probably stay until Bilsdale is repaired or demolished & replaced. Or until they can put other arrangements in place.

Bilsdale is in the north east of England, I think you are confusing the Republic of Ireland with the Republic of Yorkshire :p

I think the transponder will remain until the Bilsdale mast is repaired or replaced, which could be some time. It is interesting they are using 28.2°E and not an extra transponder on 27.5°W, unless there was no extra capacity.

Looking at 27.5°W it doesn’t look like it has a huge amount of capacity, and what is available seems to be mainly occupied by data other than the BBC.

Someone seems to have managed to find a lot of Irish FM radio distribution on there at super low symbol rates though, some under 100! I managed to lock the Northern Irish Q Radio one (11689V 500) the other day and hear the various versions of it - the RDS for the various transmitters (the now playing song info) is also carried on there.
