Just as a matter of interest Llew, what sort of money are they?
Mine was about £280 from _www.videowinkel.nl (mentioned in another thread - thanks Stick). Considerably more than a DM7000 from the same place, but it should prove be very versatile when the software starts to appear.

Been laid low for a few days with a virus (human version) so I haven't progressed with the TD unfortunately.

AFAIK there's no info on interconnects - all I can find is the front view of the boxes.

For Dreambox, read Triple Dragon :p

Just arrived today, and it's a big machine - the same size as the old Echostar LT8700. Not sure if it's going to fit in with my other stuff.

I'm in the process of checking out its basic functions. No manual supplied (?) but I've found an English version to download.

Will be hopefully setting up a Network in due course.

Can you give me the website for the English version of the operating manual for the Triple Dragon.

Thanks Llew.

Hope you get on well with my former receiver.....

Takes some time to get familiar with everything in it.

The receiver is loaded with latest official image and the TDman image addon for the EMUs.

For Sky you just need to add the boxid to the newcs.xml file which you open with Wordpad or similar editor.

Put the card in the lower slot with the blue side up of the card.

Hi Likvid
I tried it last night hooked up to an Invacom quad LNB which is presently on the dish,i did not get a picture on the BBC,which was a bit supprising as my
SAB 710 was pulling them in as clear as a bell.
I will try the Invecto LNB at the weekend,to see if that makes a difference.
Regarding the SKY card,I have an FTV card for chan 4/5 do I have to insert the Digibox no for this also?as normally they work in any Digibox.
Looking forward to some fun with the TD,maybe you can give me the menu settings for installing the SMW LNB,s as i would like to try these in the future.

FTA card should work without entering serial so just put the card in the lower slow with the chip facing down and restart the receiver.

Your SAB 710 must be much more sensitive in the tuner in that case, i have never tried the SAB710 myself.

I have made a customized LNB config file which is already in the receiver so you should just goto the installation and satellite menus and the Wideband LNB should show up there among other settings.

There are two Wideband LNBs there, choose the correct one with your LO.

Should work.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated, you should try one of these SAB 710,s
they are a bit rough and ready, and are cheap.
But they are very good for fringe areas, though i must admit i have never seen one tested in the media.

Couple of questions,(I am a bit of a dickhead with computer jargon)
First will a SKY Italia card work with the receiver?and also a cam with a dutch
card at the same time.hooked up to a fixed dish with 2 LNB,S and thru a DiSqu
switch.
I have an Acer Travelmate 6003 LMI,how do i hook this up th the receiver,ie what type of cable,Wordpad is in the programme settings, but to be honest i have never used it.
Sorry if i sound a bit stupid, but would really appreciate some help.

Sky Italia is like Sky U.K running NDS so you need to enter the BOXID in the Triple Dragon file newcs.xml and put the card in the lower slow with chip facing down as i said before.

Everything is in the manual how to connect to the receiver in different ways.

Why do you wan't to use a CAM with the Triple?

You already have all software EMUs inside, just config it and run.

There are lots of forum about it with....

Don't know much about notebooks, if it has a LAN connection, you will need a crossover LAN cable, or straight cables if you have a hub/router.

You then need to configure a network connection on your notebook to enable it to work with the TD.

As Likvid said, the manual shows how to do this, but ask if you have any problems, mainly it's just a question of setting up your local and remote ip's, gateway etc. correctly in the OSD and PC.

It's a very easy receiver to work with and you don't need much knowledge to get things going really......

Set IP address in the configuration and enable it, enable the correct EMU for the card you have, setup the satellites and rotor and search channels.
