Has been up for 1 1/2 year now with Clarke-Tech DiSEqC Motor HH390.
It was just a test with the Clarke-Tech but as it still runs i will not replace.
My goal was to catch MBC at Badr 26e ,it was a little bit tricky to find but after a while it was there.
After som test with different LNB i find out that the Smart Titanium 2nd ed Quad performs best.
I also have a feedhorn from the Andrew/Channelmaster and some C-flange LNB for taking it up to next level in performance, project for summer.
I'm very satisfied with the Laminas, bought it directly from Laminas in Poland
Cheers

Very good, Hakon. Your dish appears to be in a reasonably sheltered position, so maybe wind problems aren't causing the motor to be stressed too much with that size dish.

Nice installation.

Smart Titanium seems a good performer in all its variants.

The Laminas are so light that you can actually run a Diseqc motor with it without problems, in germany all smaller Laminas are used with Diseqc motors which is a good thing.

According to their website Laminas can supply an electric anti-icing system which would be very useful in winter. That would also help to make it popular in many parts of Germany and Austria. The reinforcement on the back of the dish looks good.

Smart Titanium LNBs are excellent, but I also intend to get an Inverto Black Ultra from The Netherlands or Germany, wherever is cheaper.

Try here, _http://www.satellietdiscount.com/E_frame.html

A Dutch firm and cheapest I've seen but can't say how much it would be to ship to your neck of the woods!

@ Hakon : Roughly how much did your dish cost? I've emailed Laminas (in English!) to ask for price and shipping but no reply after a week. Won't be offended if you don't want to disclose how much you spent!

I bought mine 2008/08 and i paid 184.50 EUR all included as follow, dish OFC1200 (57 EUR+VAT),mount OFC-1200 AZ-EL(19,23+VAT), shippingcost (75EUR+ VAT) VAT=22%. Shipping was high but the dish was priced low,so in my thoughts it was a bargain. Was delivered by truck to me.
My contact at Laminas was wery helpfull and arranged all with the shippingcompany, was at my home in 3- 4 days.
Try send them a mail one more time, as i remeber i had to do it twice.

If you change to Polish at Laminas homepage, you will find a pricelist, click the tag named "CENNIK"

Sadly, still no contact from them, even after another email. I have found a firm in Italy who retail both the dish and Az/El mount, starsat.it (Sorry their site is down at the moment otherwise I'd post the link to the relevant page) It seems to be reasonably priced and shipping is not as much as you paid from Poland. However, I've not come across the firm before and am slightly reluctant to order without knowing how reputable they are. My Italian is almost non existant so emailing or phoning isn't a real option. It is tempting though if Laminas don't contact me quite soon.

Check you are using the right e-mail address and ensure you make it clear you are in France.

It is possible they have an official distributor in France and they may expect you to go through them. Many companies only ship direct if they have no distributor in that particular country.

Have done both, but having searched using all the usual 'engines' I can only find that one distributor in Italy. No links to anyone else in Europe. I await further contact, either that or I hire a van and have a jaunt to Poland. Clicking on the link on their site for 'dealers' produces a map of Europe, but with no active links for France or Sweden.

You might try phoning. There is likely to be someone there who speaks as well as writes in English.

It is worth remembering that you can get the Gibertini OP 125 for €159 and OP 150 for €250 and get polar mounts for them.

My interest in the Laminas was begun by the fact that Hakon had used a 1.2M one, with an Az/EL mount, on his diseqc motor with no apparent ill effect. My current dish is well sheltered, so I thought I'd try the same and if it was too much for the motor, well I'd buy a new one and go back to my Gibi. I've changed my mind about siting an Andrews on my drive and camouflaging it unfortunately. I'll start up my other thread shortly and explain why!! Anyway, I'll see if Laminas get back to me in the next couple of days and take it from there.

Try with the largest Polish retailer Hollex

They have the dishes and polarmounts.

Here is only the polarmount:

The polar mount looks strong.

I would prefer a thread and bolts for elevation, it is much easier to fine adjust. There is always at least one difficult satellite on the arc which needs that fine adjustment.
