Well, well, well. Or three holes in the ground collecting water! The main Spanish opposition party is still blaming the current Gov for everything. Bearing in mind the Spanish national gov is Labour, and the opposition is Conservative. As stated yesterday the PSOE who run the country in coalition stopped Madrid who are run by the PP coalition from going to phase 1, so the PP are complaining it´s a political decision, never mind the fact they didn´t pass the health tests and their own director of health resigned because she didn´t agree to go to phase 1 either.
Only good news is that where I am we go to phase1 and shops, restaurants and bars can open. Terrace only for r & B´s

Enough about all that sh**

What to eat tonight? Well, got to start using some of the freezer stuff, so the homemade burgers again. All cooked on the new outside setup.

Burgers, garlic butter potato slices and hard boiled eggs for the misses salad. No salad for me!

I hope I don´t get salad tomorrow, have no idea how to cook it!

Got keep the chloresterol levels down - remember that before you turn salads down! :-rofl2
I am so sorry Dr. Jeallan01. I should know better. If I had a soft, silky coat, a very pronounced nasal and jowl arrangement, a cute nose and some pretty whiskers, I´d probably love salads.
However, I have a lot of ugly whiskers after 8 weeks in lockdown, a near Neanderthal appearance, discovered fire and became a carnivore. How many Neanderthals do you know who worry about cholesterol ? And how many salad lovers can spell it?
My ancient ancestors were probably Neanderthals - so didn't live "too long. OTOH, given the time between then and now, I suggest that a bit more veg might be a good way to postpone the "inevitable"(I had a "Mac & 3 Cheese" + sprouts and peas tonight - all from the freezer, but I'm no cordon blue chef at the best of times:-rofl2).

PS: its "jeallen01" and not "jeallan01" - I really hate people who misspell my name! Someone once referred to me as "alien john" in the days when email addresses were dictated by the rules of the company concerned (thus it should have been "allen john"!) - I "let it ride" once, but NOT twice :-rofl2

PS: read the new PS to post 143!
PPS: my response to the second "misspelling" of my name was "Weird I may be, but Alien John I'm not!" - and that's still true decades later :-rofl2

Dear Dr. Jeallan01. Had I the ability to go back and forward in time, as you obviously have, by quoting a post that had not been made at that time, I would have taken the opportunity to correct my previous mistake.
I fear the " someone " whom referred to you as " alien John " was probably correct, for surely only a Gallifreyan could perform such actions as yours.
Shame you didn´t learn by the mistakes, despite multiple opportunities to do so. :)
Dr Who ?

As I "implied" in the PPS to Post #145 - "things could get nasty" "Rowland Mouse"! :p

Well, not too much to report today, the usual arguments between the political parties and why some areas are going to phase1 while others are not.
Personally, as I´m in one of the areas that are going to phase1, I really don´t care!
I´m looking forward to a draft pint of something :-whipb

On the food front. I know I said it was getting too hot for a roast, but the forecast for today was a drop in temperature and rain. This morning it did rain. Good storm with lots of whizzbang.
Decided, under the circumstances and the imminent release, to pick up a nice lump of beef. Rather expensive here, but to celebrate!

Then the veg and Poop!

Morrissons (at least the one not far from here) is selling Marstons Old Empire IPA at £1.25 a bottle. The blurb on the back says it is 'a deceptively easy drinking IPA'.

At 5.7% the first one will be, definitely a pacer. I got three just in case things change.

Food tonight is going to be a tomato infused wholewheat pasta with a bit of lightly (dusted) battered cod on top with perhaps a red chili or two from the plant on the windowsill.

I'm afraid we could only run to Cumberland sausages with jacket potatoes here...there was leftover rhubarb crumble for dessert though....

I hope the Cumberland Sausage came in discrete Bangers ........ the coiled-down version always looks a little sinister.

After about 4 of the above, the desire to cook went out of the window. @jeallen01 you´ll like this
