One of my clients is on the wrong side of a hill to get Crystal Palace, currently they have a 30+ year old vertical polarised aerial on Guildford (Group B with Labgear mast amp) which is running well.

They would like to receive London Live which I thought was only coming from Channel 35 on CP and since it's not on satellite I was hoping to swing the aerial around and retune from somewhere else. There are conflicting sites that suggest it either on, or not on the Reigate transmitter, also on CH35.

Which one is correct ?

I don't mind changing the aerial for a Group A if this improves the reliability of the lower frequency reception, what I don't want to do is install a second aerial on the same mast with all the rigmarole of combining and filtering signals.

If it helps they are on postcode KT108QD, Pelham's Walk Esher.

Yes, their house is Freeview / BT sub box only.

I'm not suggesting they change providers since they are in their 80s and have just mastered the new remote control after nine months of 'education'.

The UKFree.tv site is unofficial and often wildly out of date, so I wouldn’t trust that to tell you it’s definitely not carried on the Reigate transmitter.

The best place to check is the postcode checker on the Freeview website, then after clicking Check, scrolling down and clicking though for “Detailed Information” which will show you the transmitters and frequencies available that they carry. If Reigate carries London Live then it’ll be listed as the “LOC” multiplex or something similar.

Thanks.

Been there, done that. As of October it might be active. The site does suggest Crystal Palace as a prime candidate though.
