This is why I follow Cricket instead ...... Grown men cry when they're caught cheating, but no buses are harmed.

No but they get in trouble for playing with their balls.
I don't follow any sport.

Yet another example of the type of 'fans' that no club wants but are powerless to stop joining their supporters. It is an unfortunate fact of life that some people have an inbred violent streak and are not brought up being shown how to temper that streak and violent acts of aggression at, during or following football games. I have stayed clear of football all of my life for that reason, the other being a memory of a gang of Burnley supporters in the early 60s tying an 11 year old boy to a lampost and squeezing his testicles with nutcrackers at a Blackburn Rovers match, needless to say the boy died of shock

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Sadly, when it comes to things like football, there's always the people who see it like it's a warground, fighting to the death and one side declaring victory over the other, when in reality it's just a bunch of people kicking their balls about (*yawn!*), it's one of those mentalities that humanity has got built in, some control it, others just swill lager and let the rage rule their lives, maybe they should start putting sedatives and laxatives in their lager (calm them down, and keep them busy with other things!!)...:-rofl2

This is exactly why I don't follow football (along with sheer amount of £n the players earn). No other sport has as much hooliganism as football among so-called fans. Disgusting.

The current batch of league players earn their £££s though being very athletic, engaging in a spot of diving on grass at the same time is no mean feat.

Some people will take any excuse for violence, I remember the Burnley riots back in 2001 (not long after I'd moved back to Lancashire after finishing school up here in't north east), the cause of that being a stabbing, and after that, mayhem, thank goodness I was in Colne away from it all, but seeing the mess afterwards, goodness me it was awful, all because people just wanted to make trouble because they could...

With incidents like this the match should be cancelled and a victory awarded to the attacked team. Push some of the policing back to the supporters who should be keen enough not to want to throw away a match. Didn't the Liverpool management ask people to turn up to "greet" the visiting team - what a bl**dy stupid thing to do.

Several problems that should have been thought through better to avoid this disaster,

The normal route was cancelled due to the skips of rubble ? these skips could have been taken away as they are not fixtures,

Not enough Police from what I have seen so far the police were overwhelmed by the crowd of onlookers,

I hate to think what will happen to the Liverpool coach when it arrives in Manchester,

Maybe the answer is to airlift the players in & out to prevent this happening.

The REAL reason the Liverpool and Man City coaches were re-routed last night

Im not actually sure why football requires travel to opposing venues in the modern age. Why not find a pitch approximately half way beween the teams and any spectators with season tickets get to see it at home, on their mobile, or on a dedicated channel at the pub of their choice.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Looks to me like that's what all that stuff on social media! - and lot's of other cr*p, as well as "booze" - does to the low-lives who seem to frequent football matches as a substitute for an outright no-holds barred actual street-fight for the "fun" of it :(

I've an easier option, why don't they just play the games on a playstation? It's just as "interesting" as the real thing... :-rofl2

The consensus locally is it was a lot a lot of the local scrotes who were not actually going to the game ie any excuse to have a fight

Not that I am condoning it in any way
