I keep getting signal lock failed I have two cables running in from my dish I have bought a coupler in the hope that helps the signal as neither cable was giving me any signal what so ever any ideas on what could help me I’m thinking of trying to redirect the dish as I have read that their satellites have moved in the last decade or so ?

Can you please post a picture of your dish, and LNB.
Did you fit the dish?
If the dish is recent it might be a Sky Q installation.
Your dish might have moved, or not been aligned to Astra 2, 28.2E, the LNB might have failed, the cable connections come loose, or cable damaged and water ingress might have rotted the cables.
Of course it could also be a problem with your receiver.
Can you test your receiver on a different dish, family member, friends, or even a nice neighbour?

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

I doubt the 'coupler' has the ability to provide a voltage supply to the dish in the way you have connected it.

For starters take the coupler off & just connect one cable. You only need 2 for recording "+" boxes.

The wires aren’t pulled back yet was just for ease of managing the box I was unaware hence the question bill and I read that the 2 way switch could be used in reverse online u see

Yes I’ve tried with each and there is nothing I made the mistake of resetting the box too so I can’t get past this screen to do it manually

The dish is a sky dish and is pointed at the same direction as everyone else’s on my street also sky! I didn’t fit the dish no but have been contemplating getting a signal tester and trying to manoeuvre it myself justified tad confusing when everywhere online it says you only need the one cable but neither are doing anything for my reception I also would like to ask do you think that the way the cable is ran would have an impact on its signal? I have hidden the cable you see routed into the panneling?

Length of cable, quality of cable, and damage to cable can all cause problems.
You cannot spot it, by eye, if your dish has moved a few degrees, and no longer aligns on 28.2E.
Can you use your receiver on someone else's dish, just to set it up?

How many outputs are there on the LNB? Like Mickha said I think it may be a Sky Q LNB and therefore not compatible with your receiver.

Don’t know tbh off the top of my head it’s a few years old it’s just one for the dining room you see and the terrestrial aerial has no connection either otherwise I’d have just gone with that

I’m sure there is two? So are you saying if I bought a new compatible lnb it would fit the cables that go into it like slot in I believe

Yes. Two outputs usually means it's a Sky Q LNB. You need a Sky mk4 quad LNB (or single if they are available).

So if I got one of those I should be able to use the cables that are already there or would I have to run new coax?

Existing cables will work no problem, assuming they aren't damaged in any way. A photo of the current LNB will help to confirm if it is a Sky Q LNB or not.
