My Satellite Setup
I’m unsure about setup as I had an expert install it. It’s satellite dish connected to my Samsung TV which has a satellite connection installed. I’m sorry that’s all I know.

Hi I have a Samsung TV, I only use freesat, I have no TV aerial connected. Every once in a while I lose BBC 1, channel 101 just goes missing. In order to get it back I scroll through the channels, click on them individually and each time put in 101 to see if it has come back on, eventually it does come back on. Does anyone have any idea why it keeps disappearing, what is causing this to happen.

Well I would recommend you get an aerial, how you expect to maintain reception of an HD channel without one is beyond me, indeed it is amazing that you can receive it

Does the TV give you Signal Strength and Quality readings in Satellite mode?

I think you mean Freeview rather than Freesat seeing as you mention 'no aerial'. I can only assume you live in a quite a strong signal area to receive it without an aerial attached..
