The channel Id been waiting YEARS to see in Europe finally appeared mid April last year. Loads of documentaries, earth views, rocket launches, space station news. FTA in English - although I would probably have subscribed to a pay package just to get this one :)

Is anybody having ongoing trouble with Nasa UHD? When I tune to it, the video runs for a second and then stops while the audio continues.
The other 4K channels on Hotbird work perfectly fine.

Not all receivers SOCs can handle the 2160p HEVC 60p transmissions. NASA should consider this themselves and change the framerate to 50p which will play smoothly in all 4K capable SOCs found in most commercial STBs.

It had been working perfectly fine until last week when I tried again. It's possible there's been some kind of update to the Vu boxes if @FC GD has the same issue. Or that they have changed something as part of the broadcast.

i dont think that it is to do with 60 p.. for me, it had been working until min january. Yes they had hardware/playpout issues and some hardware changes have been made/changed to solve the problem and since then my vu+ doesnt play the stream..

look at this reddit post, there is more backgound info about nasas playout problem https://www.reddit.com/r/nasa/comments/s2x175

Interesting. They certainly have made some change that the Vu+ boxes don't like. Maybe similar to a few months back when for some reason Greek ERT channels didn't work on Vu+ until they made some changes.
