Does anybody know which dish size we need for watching the tennis feeds in 7E in London? Like for example current one in 11140 V 30000?

More importantly - is the signal encrypted & if so in what format? Or is it an N3 signal, in which case the dish size doesnt matter as its not available on domestic equipment anyway?

Tennis feeds are aimed at Cable & DTH satellite Head Ends when unencrypted they may require a dish size of 240cm,
Most of the feeds on 7E & 10E can be resolved with a 100cm dish but as mentioned in the post above this will depend on the transmission type.

By the way those feeds on 7E are in 4:2:2 & Biss encryption so you will need a PC satellite card for 4:2:2.
Good reception here with a 90cm dish.

It said 80cm Raven steel mesh dish on the box when I bought it 25 years ago.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!

As many will confirm, the older TRIAX dishes (of which I have 3, including a TD88! :-doh) are the "work of the devil" to set up (especially w.r.t. the declination of the dish on a pole or motor) - there are many more modern and better dishes available!

Yup the TD110 is a horrible dish to set up accurately. You need to be an octopus to hold everything that needs holding and tightening.

I heard some receivers, like Amiko HD8155, can also open dvbs2 422. Can anyone confirm?

Roccky might be confusing the 4.2.2 specification with Android firmware

Sad to hear that. I guess no other receiver can do it? I have my pcsat, but would be nice to have a receiver able to do it as well

Hmmm... not familiar with android or web interfaces. I was just wondering about dvbs2 422 transmissions, which are quite common in sports feeds.

Sorry Channel Hopper and manikm909, not sure if I can understand what you mean!!

You can get 422 on some linux receivers - as long as you can stream the video via the ethernet port to vlc. Its a hell of a faff to get going but its possible - I used to do it on an old E1 Dreambox many years ago..

Very simple with an Octagon SX88 or Edision Primo. Connect to the network, load up VLC, open playlist, choose UPNP and the channel list from the box appears. Double click to play.
