No need for password if using telnet. I haven't tried this image yet, I think it still has a few bugs; other users say k*ys downloaded are old, you will need to update them yourself.

The emus are in binary form - they are placed in the directory /var/stb/bin. Be aware that these are read only, and can't be changed. Therefore if you wish to replace an emu you will need to put it in /var/bin, which will be called after rebooting.

If you have var on a USB stick, you can readily replace an emu in /var/stb/bin via your PC under Windows. Much the best option if you have an image that can use the USB stick.

OK, try /var/bm/stb/bin.

But as I said, you cannot change emus there. Camd3 and mgcamd will be already included. Only add later versions in var/bm/bin, and chmod to 755.

var/bm/stb/bin directory does not exist in TD 4.2
Only var/bin, var/emus, var/keys, ... but not var/bm
That I do? he is better to change to another image.

I've only used the first Dragon Team 4.1a, where you download the xml menu from the DT server, giving you the options of downloading BMToy, which allows you to configure your choice of emu.
If there are none shown, you must manually add them in var/emus.

May be better to try an image such as TDMan, which includes the emus.

Hi all,

i've tried this image for a short while.

It looks very interesting and has many possibillities, but you have to know how it all works.

It's a bit complicated and many things don't work out of the box as they say.

You can go to EXTRAS and download plugins or softcam's or emu's straight from their server via the xml menu without any problems.

One slight problem however is that they don't work!

At least the emu's and softcam's don't work.

Somehow you have to activate them?

That's why for now I went back to the latest TDman image.

Do you have any tips for me how to get the emu and softcams working llew?

I'm working blind here, as I'm still using Fusion on USB.

Can you download BMToy from the server as you could with the earlier DT image?

Does the infobar show the emu you have chosen when you are trying to open a channel?

Also check the config file in keys (e.g mg_cfg = U:{05})

Seems that other users have better success loading emus and keys onto a USB stick.

@LWGS

Those providers change keys several times a day sometimes. You need to keep them updated frequently.

Hi Llew,

yes, I can download BMtoy no problem.

I wonder if the BMtoy comes complete with emu's and softcams?

They do show up in the BMtoy, but I was wondering if maybe you also have to download the emu's you need separately? Or do they have to be activated somehow?

Via xml menu you can download emu's and cams.

Downloading is no problem at all, the server works fine.

For some time the server was down the last time that I tried to install the 4.1 version, but now with the 4.2 the server works just fine again.

For now I'm back on TDman, but if I have a good idea on how to get the emu and cams working I'd like to give the DT 4.2 image a go again.

Well Nolan, if you've downloaded the emus and started your emu in BMtoy, it should be working (provided you have the latest keys). What mode are the emus in var/emus?Are they chmodded to 755?

Didn't have any problem with downloaded emus in DT 4.1.

I didn't try this one ( I'm still on v4.1) but when you download the emu's
via the xml menu they go in to the appropriate folder (/var/emus or US:cool: automatically so no need to change or load any thing . At least this is in the v4.1. Also when you download the emu's you get all the needed files with it, like :keys , rom's etc. They too go in to the appropriate folders like:/var/keys , /var/scce and /var/tuxbox automatically.
I don't know if they changed any thing on this ver. but if you have in:
/var/emus or /dev/shm/usb/sda*/emus = emu's (binaries) =755
/var/etc = bm.conf = 755
/var/plugins = libbmtoy.so = 755
/var/keys = keys , cfg's and other stuf =755
/var/scce = EEP01 , EEP08 and ROM102 binaries = 644
/var/tuxbox/config = newcamd.cof and ewcs.xml = 755
/var/tuxbox/cofig/newcamd = newcamd.conf = 755
/var/tuxbox/scce = constantcw , keylist , nagraepr bin's , nagraram bin's .....etc = 755
/var/bin =mklinks , na-start.sh , na-stop.sh , netosd.sh and streampes = 755
it must work .

Regards hija31

P.S. the update is out v4.2.1 based on the latest off. image ( 10-09)
