I found 16APSK transponders on 12.5W but enigma didn't find any services on them.

In the blindscan plugin, I have changed the start-stop frequencies, symbol rate steps, and some other default settings.
I also changed the tolerance from 5 to 2 as seen below.

You may tell me if those tolerance changes should have been made or not. But the plugin works great for me set like that.
That is not the way to do that. Needs to be based on SR. Only time it should ever be below 5 is if the SR is below 4000.

BTW Scopus, if you have Hispasat also check Asturias MIS mux on 11496, if it plays stable. Silabs has a great problem with this...

Perfect! There is something to change in the plugin so that DVB-S does not report Auto FEC, but I'm puzzled with Auto on 16APSK.
BTW, is my skin running on OS nino pro?
Your skin is running OK!Nino pro.jpg

Gorgeous!!! Thank you so much!
Yes, the Silabs tuners have problems with Asturias, but Avalink really works!
Next test if you please is to see if the 16/32APSK FECs are recognized.
So far, so good it seems!

What transponders do you suggest.

Mid-Term Elections were held in the United States which caused a lot of Ku activity. I have seen this before over the years, but I do not remember ever having a fta receiver blindscan like this. The total scan of this satellite was recorded and can be found in the Mega link.

If you want to find a transponder with 16APSK, there is currently one on Türksat 42 East
11177 V DVB-S2 / 16APSK HEVC 34290 2/3 TürkSat 8K
obviously the Nino PRO will not be able to read it (it's 8K super UHD)
but maybe he can find the frequency .

Has anyone compared the blind scan result from the El Nino box with a simultaneous scan of the same satellite using EBS Pro with a card that is capable of detecting 16APSK and 32APSK?

Also, does the El Nino box have the option to select a frequency range for a blind scan or is it a full band scan?

A TBS Card (for example) will find transponders in ACM (data), so the comparison might be revealing.
Yes, we can select blindscan search range .

Nothing to do with the receiver. It is the software you load on it that does that.

I wrote the filters into the blindscan plugin years ago (long before this box was a twinkle in his daddy's eye).

I've done it based on symbol rate so the changes only affect transponders with symbol rates below 5000.

You can get the latest version of the plugin code for testing from github.

Here are some screenshots from 28 east (Astra 2) with filters set to ignore known transponders.

First MIS transponder I've ever seen on that satellite.

Again though, all other tps on the screenshot are DVB-S QPSK Auto. This is completely wrong, blindscan should find all parameters (expect the ones for DVB-S2X since it's not part of linuxtv).
Scopu's screenshot is absolutely correct on the other hand!
