TBH, I've had the opposite results to Stephan, both my TBS 6903 and Gigablue S2X tuners outperform the Edision...

I have had similar results in that my TBS 6983 and TBS 6903 cards outperform the Edision Nino.

In addition, the Nino will not detect a signal below lock level. Both the Dr HD F15 receiver and the Signal Analyser of EBS Pro or IQMonitor with a DVB tuner device are able to show the presence of signals below lock level.

As I say; it's a result on this 30.5 East satellite in the conditions I announced.
The screenshoot are also there to show this result which pleasantly surprised me.
In the majority of cases the TBS 6983 achieves better results than the Nino Pro.
I noticed that the Nino Pro during the blindscan can find low frequencies and after
with this frequency he has great difficulty in locking the image.
Of course the Nino pro does not detect the frequencies below the linc margin.

Today with great difficulty I managed to receive the asiabeam of 46 ° East 11015 H 13000(antenna 1,20)
Very bad image, but the result is very rare.

What image/skin is that?
It is image OpenPLI with Skin aeonfhdmod_sharp987
This skin is for me very interesting because it gives all the indications for a DXer with a single Klick (and with the complete data if it is a MIS + PLS) unfortunately this skin does not exist (does not work) for Openvix

Yes, Sharp uses (some of) the converters I wrote from my own skin by my permission. His skins are really nice (and I'm a hard judge since I'm a skinner myself).

Ok, I removed that clause for this receiver and rescanned. Transponder is 5/6.

Scannned 5 times. Twice the tuner returned FEC Auto, and 3 times it returned 7/8.

That clause was added years ago when the only two enigma boxes with blindscan were the Vu+ Ultimo and the ET9000. The Ultimo used to return 3/4 for everything. Anyway I have checked now with this box and it is also returning false FECs.

When the transponder exists in satellites.xml the correct FEC will show.
30 months later... have there been any changes to the Edision blindscan binary such that it doesn't occasionally output incorrect tuner parameters? That dissuaded me from buying one at the time: "true values or don't know" is more useful than "true values or false values or don't know".

The octagon-blindscan binary has been updated (sometime last year), such that it now reports actual found values, and so far it seems to return only the correct value, or not found (AUTO values). None of that useless / bugged wrong values.
