New Freesat issue

My Satellite Setup
Freesat Recordable 2TB 4K TV Box

Hi,

i switched on my Freesat Recordable 2TB 4K TV Box this morning only to get a ‘we are setting up your dish message"

i left it a while before restarting the box, checking connections etc.. just keeps coming back to the same message. Recordings play fine.

The box is nearly two years old so out of warranty.
any advice please? Factory reset? Would this lose all recordings?

Raven mk2 zone 2 x4, Channel Master: 90cm x3, 1.2m x2, 1.8m PF. CM polar mount x2, Az/El x3.

A factory reset will likely erase all recordings. It could be a problem with the box, dish alignment, LNB or cabling, if you have (or can borrow) another satellite receiver or have a TV with a built-in satellite tuner (many newer models have them) you could try them to help diagnose the issue. It may also still be worth contacting Freesat support.
