I was going to just add the new transponder,
So I tried the Blind Scan on the SX88+ & it found the new Multi-Stream :):Y

Not even the slightest peep here unfortunately. Looks like I'll lose all my French channels soon enough!

Not particularly strong compared with the other two.

12733V 13.0dB
11509H 16.1dB
12648V 15.8dB

So it’s a good 3dB down on the original two. Maybe (hopefully) it will increase if they replace 11509H with it.

It would be kind of logical from a perspective of the two feed transponders becoming the same band/polarity (High V) to simplify arrangements at the French transmitter sites.

I'll try again when the weather clears up a bit but it looks like it might be too weak to lock on my dish even if it matches the strength of the current upper frequency.

Not strong enough for lock on my 80cm in North Yorkshire.

+1 to try again when it dries up.

2.0m is more like the dish size they have at the TDF sites that use these feeds in France (1.5 or 1.8m apparently). Out of interest what C/N do you get on 11509H/12648V?

I hope it increases a bit if a move is planned (rather than them testing 12732V for eventual use with something else), 13dB on my 80cm doesn't give that much rain margin with the high FEC used. The EPG and lack of encryption is a big plus point over Fransat...

I got it to lock on with a 1.8m Gilbertini dish and using an Inverto Ultra Quad LNB here near Galway in the West of Ireland. Unfortunately, there is cloud cover and a bit of light rain, so I am getting the odd bit of break up. The evening is also the best time of the day for the 5W transalpine beam, so that does not bode well for the future, unless the signal level increases after switchover from 11509 which is rock solid steady in dry weather.

The signal is about 2db lower than 12648V and 4db lower than 11509H. Overall, it's the weakest of all MIS frequencies I receive in my region (about 12db).

Summat wrong here: Every other TP on 5W is mahoosive, yet the new TP appears deader than a dodo.

I suspect my Edision Primo is somehow the problem here, not the actual transmission.

Has anyone else with a Primo had success?

Good Morning
From the center of Spain with a 1 meter dish and Inverto black ultra LNB, 12733 V has 1.1 dB less than 11509H (13.5 dB versus 14.6)
Will 11509 disappear?
Do you have an object that 12733 is less powerful?
Is it about making Fransat more competitive?
Thanks.

Interesting with the measurements of it being the same or a bit stronger than 12648V on your larger dishes @moonbase and @s-band

Heavy grey cloud here this morning in the direction of 5°W, but I'm still getting ~15.5dB on both of 11509H and 12648V with my no-name 80cm, with 12732V a few dB down at ~12.5dB.

I think my skew is pretty much bang on with the two original ones received at pretty much the same level.

Who knows what the plans are at this stage though, other than TDF! As I say, the best guess I can make is that there could be a benefit for them of having their two transmitter feed transponders in the same band and polarity, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

You may have to enter either the PLS code or PLS root code in manually on that particular transponder

Primo doesn't offer such precise TP editing :(
