You may have to enter either the PLS code or PLS root code in manually on that particular transponde
I got 12733 V to lock on on the Edision Primo and the Octagon SX88+. It seems more stable on the Edision. Signal improves from evening time into night here in West of Ireland. I suspect rain will totally zap the signal though. I will look at fine adjusting the skew some evening using my Promax signal meter.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
SX88+ & the "untweaked" Gibby/Inverto Black Ultra on 12733V (and after I changed the SR to 29500) and all channels at about 100% SS & 75% SQ and all decode except Arte.TV, Guide des Programmes & SALTO (which is not listed on Flysat) - just curious as to why that would be?

Arte clearing OK here but not the other two using a two bob receiver.
The other two probably need sniffing at with a signal analyser to see what is going on?

There is a difference between arte and arte.tv
arte.tv, guide des programmes, SALTO are three HBBTV channels. They don’t broadcast audio or video. Just a HBBTV signal. That is why they are not listed on flysat, I suppose...

The same three channels on the 11679V mux scan in OK on an F15 receiver with a picture indicating they are interactive services channels.
Probably something similar going on with the same three on the 12732V mux?

When we get a dry hour, I'll try that.

Another possibility is that my LNB is deaf that high up the band - pretty sure I had that problem in the past.
Five minute job to try another.
Interesting. Just tried potentially viable TPs up above 12700 on other Satellites and getting similar dodo-ism.

Not tried a different LNB yet, but will do in the coming days.

I just played a tiny tiny bit with the Skew of the LNB and it improved a lot. Though the skew was already almost 100 correct!

I might have to have a go at this. Fairly rainy here now and while 11509H still has a couple of dB rain margin over the required 10.6dB (I did briefly lose it in heaviest of the rain a short while ago), 12733V is just below lock level still, managing a brief glitch of image every now and again.

Edit - it's returned now, still raining quite heavily. It's right on the borderline though. Maybe skew adjustment will give me a bit more fade margin!

Eutelsat 5 West A has zero skew offset but all the other Eutelsats around it have their standard 3.535 degree clockwise offset. Since 5B is a new craft, perhaps it has the offset? If so, you'll need to tweak clockwise a bit if the dish was set up on 5A.

Would that be as viewed from the dish, or as seen when standing in front of the LNB?

Asking that because, whilst all (apart from the the 12733 HBBTV ) channels open fine with the SX88+ & Gibby, when I switch to the offset LNB on my "90 West" dish the SS & SQ are roughly the same but those channels don't open - therefore I may have to tweak the skew on that LNB on the fixed dish.

Looking at my polar mounted dish, where I peaked the skew on 16E, the offset is clockwise looking from rear of the dish, or counter-clockwise from the rear of the LNB.

From page 2 Annex 1 in the document linked from here: Just Sharing This - Eutelsat Skew Offset
In other words the polarization skew angle of the EUTELSAT satellites is +3.535°, clock-wise when looking at the satellite from the earth, from anywhere on the meridian (in the northern hemisphere)
The best thing is to null the unwanted polarisation manually. On channels with something strong on the opposite polarisation, tweaking for best SNR works as well.

16E & 5W are 21 degs apart, and on "opposite" sides of the "median" of around 0/0..8W in most of the UK - and thus I don't think your comment was particularly relevant w.r.t. sats at 5W.

The common advice, on a motorised dish, is to set the skew to 0° as the mount skews the dish as it moves, but as I peaked the skew on 16E (for BBC feeds) in theory it has the Eutelsat offset.

The CM LNB holder has a moulding line at the centre point 0° - it was easy to see from the join line of the LNB body that the offset was clockwise when looking from the rear of the dish.

The direction of offset is the same no matter where you are in this country or what Eutelsat satellite you are pointing at.

Changing satellite position 0.5 degree changes the skew a bit which is required for 12731V.
That’s what I think.

Done some checks this morning on 11509V versus 12732V with partly cloudy conditions using my SX88+.
11509V Strength=78%,Quality=100%,C/N=20.1dB
12732V Strength=79%, Quality=100%,C/N=20.1dB
So here, near Tewkesbury, they are remarkably similar. C/N measurements done on the Promax.
