Interesting, a little shy in showing its face to the world though O-Ha

Wonder how the ESA have become involved in the project?

So where is Linux?

Not much use if Linux isn't inside.

Frequent TV viewer with technical interest

This viewer wants to have maximum freedom in TV viewing and services related to TV programs and channels. This customer is also eager to explore all technical possibilities of the LyngBox.

Read between the lines? I emailed them to ask if it uses Linux.

Right now its not going to be "Dreambox beater" its gonna be the Humax to be beat, which has distrubution rights even with Dixons / Curry's whatever the brands are these days!

And Lyngsat is hardly ever updated anyway, Kingofsat / Flysat is alot better considering they are European based too.

Yes but the humax hdci2000 is crap i just sold one and now have another one to get rid of a i brough two of them in the first place,

I have had a play with a prototype technomate HD receiver which will be out within the next 6 weeks and trust me it will blow the hdci2000 away, There will be diffrent versions of the technomate hd receiver and the one i was playing with is just as fast or quicker than the tm-1500 super which we know is fast and it will have blind scan like the SD 1500 super

I had bad time with it. It can't even pick up some of the FTA channels. Humax technical guys tried and they could not fix them. It is a CRAP.

I was using a Samsung A300W with component cable that gave me excellent picture quality (all SD channels were so clear near enough to HD channles). The Humax is nowhere near to that quality. The only benefit I had from Humax was I could watch BBC HD. Otherwise it is a crap receiver. I have decided to go back to Samsung A300W becuase those SD channels are more important to me than just the BBC HD channel.

What I could not understand also:

There is channel called Cee(i)TV on Hotbird 11727V 27500 3/4 that is free to air. The Humax can't view the picture for some reason it plays just the audio only where I tried with Technomate, Samsung & Echostar they all clear Video & Audio.

You can try it yourself, if I am wrong
