I recently learned Dreambox DM500s is finicky about peripheral devices attached such as lnbs. Can someone forward a LNB that works best with Dreambox DM500s?

What LNB are you currently using? A more modern receiver would be a better investment.

That rings a bell, LNB compatibility was something to do with the internal components.

Do you see the same issue on each of the receivers? What LNB are you using? What LNB configuration are you using? Are you actually scanning the transponders? What type of satellite meter/finder are you using?

As all transponders on Galaxy 19 are high band you could try a GR-11 22khz generator, or an LNB with a single local oscillator (10.6 or 10.75GHz).

Hello everyone. Does anyone know of the best or better than most manual pole mounts for ease of satellite dish positioning. My receivers do not communicate well to the motorized mounts as well as being to fiscally steep for me right now.

I am now using an Avenger Galaxy 19 single ku band lnb so as not require C-band dish sizes. Each of the receivers I used do not find any channels and one of my receivers is updated to recognize the current Satellite community up in orbit. I ought to find at least one channel. Right? I have narrowed down and believe some kind of interference is keeping me from finding at least one channel. I used my phone with an app powered by ATT data internet and satellite.

If I disconnect my lnb from the receiver I do not have a signal. However, when connected the signal is weak or weakened by the interference I spoke about earlier.

Your statement, "As all transponders on Galaxy 19 are high band you could try a GR-11 22khz generator, or an LNB with a single local oscillator (10.6 or 10.75GHz). " has something to do with the interference I spoke about. My parameters are probably off. Furthermore, with the updated receiver I tried HI/Low lnb settings and 22khz and not 22khz to no avail.

Is the app is some kind of augmented reality app? While they can give an idea of where the satellite is in the sky, they shouldn't be totally relied upon. When you say one receiver has been updated do you mean it has a channel list containing the Galaxy 19 channels? If you can select one of these channels and then adjust the dish the picture should appear when it is correctly aligned.

LNB settings should be universal 9750/10600 22KHz auto or on. How do you plan on getting the single output LNB to feed three receivers?

The channel list updated corresponds to current satellites in the sky and I may use individual dish and lnbs or just lnbs on one pan or splitters.

Have you tried various channels to see if you are pointing at the wrong satellite? It will have to be a DVB-S MPEG2 SD channel for it to work.
Splitters don't work with satellite.

As many people will confirm, you cannot use simple "splitters" on satellite feeds.

One more thing, does coverIng the LNB with a cloth (or anything to block the signal) affect the SNR value?

No; currently, the dish which shares a space is only for a single position. I cannot tweak the position. So, I tried to work with what I had. Now I am obtaining a motorized dish to optimize signal use. I anticipate better results.

However, I have questions about the the motor’s tube. Do I use circle round or oval egg shape round?

For argument sake and brevity I said no to various channels attempts. I did try numerous satellites and frequencies.

You will struggle to setup a motor if you are unable to locate a satellite with your existing fixed dish.

If by 'circle round or oval egg shape' you mean dish shape then it doesn't matter.

Hello I now have moved my dish and lnb - the entire setup to East Side. I am pointing to 10E Eutelsat Satellite and still receive a strong Signal 100% but the quality is still 63% - weak. Help. I checked my cable connections and after tightening the cable to the lnb I managed to increase quality 1% . HELP.
More information needed.
What system are you using, receiver, dish etc ?
What satellite & channels are you trying to view ?

I ask again, if you cover/block the LNB does signal quality change? Same question if you adjust the skew.

Quality 63%, and do you have picture and sound on some program?
At what frequency do you get the 63%?
