@hvdh would you please advise me how/where to check these details accurately for myself please.

For an occasional check, without installing dedicated software & retrieving TLE's, go here (Java required):

Select satellite URL for detailed satellite information - Jens T. Sætre - http://www.satellite-calculations.com
Lookup and click the desired satellite. In this case for Nimiq 2:
Track NIMIQ 2 at 44.4°E and view detailed satellite position data
"Predicted Time next crossing" is shown in UTC (25.10.2015 00:35)
OR
Select satellite URL for plotting satellite motion - Jens T. Sætre - http://www.satellite-calculations.com
Lookup and click the desired satellite. In this case for Nimiq 2:
http://www.satellite-calculations.com/Satellite/satellitemotion.php?26/171/0/27632
The upper curve shows the motion for the next 24h.

Nimiq 2 is now at 44.5°E as Marcus_21 already reported.
Nimiq 2 has built up an inclination of 0.7° already.
Transponders are between 12.2 and 12.7 GHz, circular polarisation.

Astra 1F thas was at 44.5° until recently, has moved away slightly to 44.3°E, to make room for Nimiq 2.

I think that the test signal on 11727 V is from Astra 1F!?Is there for a long time and is very strong.

I'm sorry, but I missed ...the lesson :) It seems a gross negligence of the Turks to let the signal to spread out on several positions, from 39.0E-45.0E.Don't you think?

From our FCC:

On April 6, 2016, Hawaii Pacific Teleport, L.P. was granted special temporary authority for 30 days, beginning April 6, 2016, to operate a 1.2-meter fixed earth station in Kapolei, HI, to provide in-orbit testing (IOT) services for the Nimiq-2 satellite at the 148°E.L orbital location in the 19.7-20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 29.5-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands.

After spending a while at 148°E for above IOT in Ka-band, Nimiq-2 has been hurrying back to the West.
Seems to have stopped near 23.7°E now. Inclination is 1.3°.

23.7°E location was another slot reservation of 3 months (mid-August to mid-November).
Nimiq-2 now moving East 2.7° per day, and already beyond 40°E.

ITU has a registration at 23.7°E of Athena-Fidus (French/Italian milsat), that is currently at 37.8°E. Maybe it's a future location, then.

Nimiq 2 has spent 3 months at 91.5°E (mid-Dec to mid-Mar), co-locating with Measat-3, -3a and -3b.
Since then moving West with 2.6°/day, now near 23°E and still moving, we'll see...

Has indeed arrived at 63.0°W (incl. 1.9°), co-locating with Telstar 14R (both satellites are of Telesat).

Three months have passed again, so Nimiq 2 left 63.0°W and is hurrying East with 4.7°/day (now near 30°W).

Nimiq 2 (incl. 2.2°) arrived at 90.0°E, right next to Yamal-401 at 89.95°E.
Maybe to reserve a future use of Ka-band? I think Nimiq 2 was used for that before.

Now 3 months later, Nimiq 2 moved slightly to 89.5°E.
This could be a slot reservation for Kypros Satellites?
Never heard of yet, but they have no lack of ambition, look at all these slots!
