No channel found.

Hi,i am new to this forum as well as new to satellite knowledge.I'm Rony 4m cape town,south africa.I have a delsat 5500 fta receiver & 2.4 m dish and it's fixed.I'm watching most of channels 4m TELSTAR-10.I did try 2 get channels 4m PAS-7/10,but i didn't get any channel.When i put the transponers and try 2 scan,then the screen show "No channel Found".All the transponders i get 4m LyngSat.Please,help me.

Where is that then?

Lyngsat only lists Intelsat 7/10 which is at 68.5E

Is that the one you mean?

Whereas Telstar 10 is at 76.5E.

Obviously without having extra LNBs or a motor you can only pick the one you dish is pointed at. You will have to move the dish.

Checking the footprint of Intelsat 7/10 you could probably pick it up with an old metal dustbin lid.

thanks for reply.My delsat receiver shows 58 satellites and 6 empty place.I have no INTELSAT-10 and TELSTAR-10. I have only PAS-7/10 (68.5 E). The TELSTAR-10 (76.5 E) all transponders the "satellite guy" set up in empty place.I did check the footprint of intelsat-7/10 from Lyngsat,but i didn't receive any channel.My rereiver got four type of LNB: C band, Ocs-C band, Wide band and Universal.Please,help me.

Ok, we need to establish exactly what you can receive now, and what exactly you want to receive, and what exactly you have on the end of your dish arm.

Please list 5 channels or so together with their associated frequencies that you can currently watch.

Do the same for what you want to watch.

Do you want to pick both satellites up, or do you want to lose Telstar.

A photograph of your dish and LNB may be useful.

Intelsat 7/10 used to be known as PAS 7/10 until name changes a couple of years ago. It is at 68.5e; so, as Telstar 10 is at 78e the dish will only be able to pick 68.5e unless it has 2 LNBs or is motorised.

4049 H 3600=Bangla Vision
4146 H 3600=Islamic tv
3787 H 4600=Etv
4003 H 4080=Channel one
4034 H 4300=Channl i
4009 H 4300=Boishakhi tv
4173 H 7400=Ntv & Rtv
3793 H 4340=Diganta tv,Some of other countries:
4113 H 2892=Nd tv Arabia
3780 V 28066=UBI World tv
3840 H 27500=RRSat Global.
I don't want to loose Telstar-10.
